Massachusetts DVC Owners Group

We're heading down for a week late Sept. at OKW flying JB and our flight out of Bradley has changed twice already. This winter taking a Disney break and heading to the royal sea aquarium resort in Curacoa for three weeks. Small resort private beach and a bunch of old friends are there the same weeks, been going there for twenty years.

Here right now. Stayed at Boulder Ridge for 4 nights and then moved to Saratoga springs. Checking out of Saratoga springs tomorrow and moving to Coronado for a couple of nights cash stay. I’ll be back the first week in August for 4 days to celebrate my goddaughters 16th bday then not back again til 10/27. I was lucky enough to get a recovery AP to cover all these trips. I’m praying I can get DH an AP in Oct when we come back down.

It is definitely run down. We’ve always wanted to stay there and I’m glad we did but definitely won’t go back. It feels like you’ve stepped back in time with how dated it is. It is in definite need of a full refurb.

Riviera is my new favorite resort. We stayed there last year and fell in love. We even went over there they other day just to grab a bite to eat and walk around.

Thanks for the report, now really hoping our WL comes through.

Which airline is doing this so I can steer clear as I book my kids' flights? So far my JB flights have remained stable for Sept/Oct
My JB flights (in Aug & Sept) changed but I was notified via email and instructed to accept the changes. If I didn't do it with the first email, I rcvd a follow-up email so i think that they attempt to make sure that you know of the changes.

Our Jetblue flights also got changed in August, we are losing 2 hours on our flight down, but at least we don't have to get up at 4 am anymore.......

So has any Massachusetts resident used their Turnpike FassPass down in Florida? I think I read that it now works down their.

FastPass? 🤣 (I get it though, we all have Disney on the brain)
You mean E-ZPass

I don't have one, no need to use the pike, but was just looking into this yesterday as I want my mom's FL car to be driven home and it will need a pass.

I got confused as the Mass E-ZPass is saying it works in all those states, but when clicking though on the map for FL it shows two different passes, with the E-Pass claiming it gets you "the lowest price" on tolls.

I don't like the idea of these roadways potentially charging us more for using an outside system and I have yet to find a place that tells us what we're charged for tolls through each system.

Before it was EZ Pass it actually was Fast Lane here in MA.

But yes FL is accepting EZPass in Sun Pass toll roads.

Wow! I hadn't heard anything about the EZPass working in FL now. That would be a good thing for many of us. But, I already purchased one of the portable FL toll units that I take with me when I go to WDW (if I rent a car which I do the majority of the time.) I'd be interested in knowing if the tolls are priced higher if one used something other than the Sun Pass.

Yes! We brought ours for our rental back in early May. At the time you could only use it on certain roads, which was fine with us as we only hit toll roads to-from MCO and Disney. (I believe they are now acceptable on more roads) Worked fine no issues, you have to add the vehicle plate number to your account and a time frame of use.

EZ Pass can now be used on all Florida toll roads.

Guys! My trip is coming up in less than 2 weeks and the news about the uptick in covid cases in FL are getting me just a little nervous since we're going with our 20 month old. We're really looking forward to going but definitely going with a triangle strategy. One adult in front of the stroller, two in the back of it to get our little guy some space. We're only doing one park day and spending two days in cabanas at the GF. Since Disney never shows your cabana confirmations on MDE, I always worry that I don't actually have a cabana booked even though they've taken my money and no refunds have been issued lol.

Stay off the busses - had a 'free country' argument with a beauty last night who didn't believe in masks for her or her family and she wasn't the only one. More chin straps each day.
