Does anyone know if you have to wear masks at the water parks? Was thinking of adding a water park day but if I have to wear masks here then no. Thanks so much in advance

Not sure but don’t give them anymore ideas.

According to disney website, they need to be worn in public areas but not when swimming or eating. I was wondering about if you are laying down in sun? I would think not because i believe most chairs are spaced 6 feet apart.

Im pretty sure Disney would not force you to wear them while sun bathing. I don't think your lounge chairs for the day fall under "public spaces". At the resort pools you only have to wear them when ordering food or entering the bathhouse.

It sounds as though you will not need to wear them while enjoying the park, but if interacting with cast members (ordering food, etc.) you will.

This is what the WDW website says about re-opening the waterparks:
Water Parks
As a reminder Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Parks remain closed at this time. We currently plan to reopen Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park on March 7, 2021.
Like the other areas of Walt Disney World Resort, we will welcome back Guests and Cast Members to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park in a responsible way, with a plan focused on health and well-being. When Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park reopens, it will operate in alignment with the health and safety protocols implemented throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, including reduced capacity, temperature screenings, physical distancing markings and face coverings. Face coverings will be required for each Guest age 2 and up, including but not limited to, at the park entrance and exit, retail areas, and food and beverage ordering areas. Face coverings will not be permitted while experiencing water slides or in the water. You may also remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you must be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing.
At this time a park reservation is not required to visit a water park, however, reservation requirements are subject to change. Water parks are subject to rehabilitation, seasonal, weather and capacity closures.

bathrooms will be hard to enforce since many stop in them on the way to a slide or river or wave pool. And many tend to park their stuff and bounce between all the stuff for hours and aren’t always anywhere near it when someone needs to go.

We plan on upgrading to the plus tickets for our trip, specifically for water parks and minigolf on non-park days. I hope by the time we go both water parks and both minigolf courses have opened.

I’m here now and no you don’t have to wear them by the pool areas I legit saw two people swimming with masks on so do whatever you want.
