"Based on the recently announced guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, we are modifying our policy regarding face coverings at some of our SeaWorld parks. Face coverings will no longer be required for guests at SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando, and Discovery Cove who are fully vaccinated in accordance with CDC guidance. We will not require proof of vaccine, but ask our guests to respectfully comply with our revised policy.

All SeaWorld park employees will be required to continue to wear face coverings at this time. The safety of our guests, Ambassadors, and animals in our care remains our top priority. We will continue to monitor and address this changing environment as necessary. For more information, guests can stay up to date on our park policies by visiting our dedicated safety website.”

So does this mean that kids under the age of 12 will still be required to wear them?

This has me extra excited for our trip in July. I was not looking forward to wearing masks in the sweltering Florida heat!

Had anyone been able to confirm
Yet that kids under 12 can be mask free?

Since there were a whole ton of kids (and adults) flagrantly mask free for the last several months, I'm guessing there are quite a few maskless kids now too...

I was there last Saturday. Most people wore masks. People without masks were not told to put one one and this included kids.

I was just there about 2% of people had masks on. Mostly the employees.
Was it worth it? I keep reading terrible reviews online about waiting 90min to enter the parks, trash piled up, 30min lines for food, so many things closed, terrible customer service, 45min lines for the shows. It is making me very nervous. There aren’t really any recent trip reviews on here

I’m gonna say it depends which day you go on I would say more of a weekday this time I didn’t have problems with the parking getting in however in the past there was multiple times that cars are backed up and the attendance don’t seem to be really in a hurry to get you through the turn styles.

Overall though I will say that we had a very enjoyable experience we got to see 2 Shows Rd. multiple rides with very little to no wait times the only actual real weight times where the child rides with my infant son even for the merry-go-round the ride seem to be very long.

However I can attest that Seaworld does have a different feeling than Disney or universal. The people working there seem like they are just working there with no real magic or smiles to them and this was noticeable in various locations especially the bar when I went to get a drink I felt like I was bothering the waitress!

This won’t stop me from going in the future I truly do enjoy seaworld if not for the beautiful animals that I see on display and that my son can get to see also I just like the feeling of Seaworld I like the nautical theme in and the overall atmosphere of the park.

I would suggest that you go one more time see if it really is for you and then make a decision but please don’t be afraid to go!

Maybe check Tripadvisor for reviews?

I got back from doing SW / BG / DC from 4/28-5/7. Never had a wait to get in - we generally arrived 20min after opening and there was no line at all. Well, a few min wait at the parking tolls but no other line. Even on Sat evening / Sun morning we didn't encounter waits. The ride lines on weekdays were low, except for Infinity Falls in the afternoon. Also a wait for the penguins to manage capacity. I didn't see shows hit capacity, although the later you arrive the more ideal seats are taken. Although they are now seating every row, which will open up even more availability.

We had a great time there in April. Went on a Friday but the lines were so much more tolerable than at Xmas (but we didn't ride the big rides...just Sesame Street. There was pretty much no waiting and the kids loved it!) We enjoyed the Seven Seas Food Fest...flavors from around the world and live entertainment was reminiscent of what we loved about Epcot usually. We walked from hotel, and arrived around opening, so there was a line to get it. We saw the sea lion show with no wait, but we were able to see the orca show at Christmas, too, though. When it comes to customer service, cleanliness, etc., I worked at an amusement park in my teenage years that at the time won awards for friendliness and cleanliness, so I often find issues. But it was a lot nicer than Six Flags. We were overall very pleased and plan to make it annual occurrence to go to SeaWorld for a day or two.
