I never bothered with a trade but i think the main diff is access to Marriotts. Marriott uses II as its primary trading agency. And Marriott is known for having very nice timeshares.

We own Marriott and Disney. DVC is just to stay in Florida while with Marriott we travel around.

This is the same approach, but with our Starwood (Westin) timeshares. But we do trade our units via II or directly with other owners.

Most of the top timeshare companies trade in II...Marriott, Westin, Four Seasons, etc.

DH and I have lived in Maryland all our lives.

We own at HH and VB. Never stayed at VB and only 2 nights at HH. You can see by my signature that we've been members since 1999. Wish we had found it sooner!

DH and I are going with another couple (high school friends) to the Princess Marathon in March - I was just able to book BWV (standard view for the first time!)

Our next trip back to WDW is 10/3-10/6 for the Food and Wine Festival. We will be staying at BCV with 3 other couples.....all Marylanders!

We are just going to miss you! We arrived on 8/21 and depart on 8/25 staying at BLT.

Hi there! We are in Bel Air and we bought at SSR in April of '08. We had our first trip "home" last October and we are heading back next week (8/20-8/23) to sneak in a few days after our 1st Disney cruise!! We also have a week planned in January.

Not "recently", but just found this thread! We joined in May of 2007. We have stayed at SSR, BWV, AKV. Our Jan trip we'll try one night at BLT & a grand villa at OKW--can't wait!!!! Debbie

No but we are DVC members and are from MD!!!! We joined in Jan. 07 and we added on in the fall of 08.

We have stayed at BCV & AKV (our home resort). In Sept. we will spend a couple of nights at SSR.

ago. (When Southwest flights from BWI to Orlando were $49!!)

Gosh I miss those. I actually got one flight for all of us at 39 ONCE..it was a Jan. trip.

I miss those rates too. We have been driving as we are again next sun. Its not too bad but I like getting there in two hours instead of sixteen!

We just drove for the first time since 2002. We left on the 11th..a Sunday and returned 2 weeks later on a Sunday. However we drove home after staying 4 nights at Vero..so that added an hour on. We still did great time wise. Although, coming home we ate our food in the van. We stopped to get gas, get food and use the potty. On the way down we stopped at Wendy's for lunch and Crackerbarrel so that added time. We left on the 11th at 5:30 and got there around 9:30. Coming home we left Vero at 8:51 and pulled in at home at 11:57.

I spent the first 38 years of my life in Maryland, does that count? Gorgeous Prince Georges County(near Tick Tock!) in Lewisdale(Hyattsville), just off University Blvd.(original Ledo's!) near U of MD.

We drove from So. MD to WDW last year. We left at 6:30 a.m. & were at our friends' home in Orange Park, FL (near Jacksonville) by 6:00 p.m.
