Maryland DISers!

Hi Debbie,

This will be our third. Our first two were three nights. We are very excited! We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Castaway Cay! Even though we only experienced a small fraction of available things on first two cruises, we still loved them. We are looking forward to doing a lot more this time.

Do you have children that were on the cruise? DD turned 7 on our first cruise and wanted to turn 13 on this one but we will be celebrating a couple weeks before her birthday. We will also be celebrating my DD and DS getting their Black Belts.

I cruised DCL on the Magic in Jan. 2011 for a 7-day cruise. I love cruising and it was my first Disney cruise, I have cruised with Carnival twice, Disney once and will be cruising Royal Cairbbean next June 2012. We are a kid-free, adult-only group so if anyone is looking for advice in that area, I am more than happy to help. :woohoo:

I made my dining ressies today!

I made mine yesterday...well I should say Wilderness Lodge IPO made mine but I got everything I requested. Even the reservations for 20 at Whispering Canyon and 22 at 'Ohana breakfast!
How did you do?
We must be going at the same time...what were your dates and where are you staying?

Debbie

Debbie,

We'll be there from 11/19-11/26. That is impressive, I'm glad you got what you want! We got everything. A lot of the time we are winging it. We will pretty much be having breakfast at POFQ food court but one day we are having breakfast at Boma and another day at Kona Cafe. One night we'll have dinner at 50's PTC and another at Les Chefs de France. Thanksgiving Dinner will be at Trail's End. One night we'll be at DD so we'll eat there. We are taking a few days for other area attractions so we'll eat there. I hope there is a Candlelight Processional during our stay. I think we'll do a dinner package if so but I think we won't find out until August.

Sounds good! I love Kona Cafe for breakfast. Mmmmm Tonga Toast!! Always wanted to eat at Les Chefs...but DH has no desire and there are so many restaurants we haven't done in Epcot that I think he is saving it for last! :rolleyes1 We are leaving on the 25th so no Candlelight Processional for us and from what I am hearing no Osborne Lights again for us! We were there in 2008 when they didn't turn them on until the Friday after Thanksgiving and we were on the plane home! All the years around 2008, they did them earlier. Now here we are in 2011 and the rumor is the Friday after Thanksgiving again. I can't catch a break!! ;)
Three of the families we are traveling with (Uncle, 2 cousins) are staying at POR for the same dates!!
Looking forward to November already. :goodvibes

This is cool! I'm from "God's country" DorCo (or skeeter country depending on your point of view) about an hour and a half from Balt.
I can't get enought of all things Disney!!

I was just thinking about Tonga toast this morning! Pulled the Disney Chef's Cookbook out and started flipping through to have a Disney Dinner this week! Or maybe breakfast with TT!!:lovestruc

I wish I was at WDW right now!!! But the budget just won't allow. A couple of days down the ocean this weekend won't be too bad either.

was debating yesterday to hit Point Look out to fish or even that bridge by Rt 50 but instead end up watching POTC 3D IMAX! I was glad I opt for the latter... now am antsy for the next chapter!!!

I went to see "Pirates - On Stranger Tides" yesterday in 3D! It was awesome and I loved it!

So, my question of the day to my fellow MD folks: when are we moving to Florida? Anyone else have plans to ditch this place? popcorn::

If I could get a decent job down there, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, the job i currently have is extremely specialized and has a slow turnover.....so no chance of a job opening in Florida to make it feasible at this time.

OR......

If my numbers hit Wednesday I guess I could look to move later this year. :rotfl:

Shoot, I work retail and I could do that anywhere. We're headed for Florida as soon as possible.

Hi everyone I'm a Dis'er in Maryland. Harford County!
Currently planning our first trip to DLR / SoCal!!! :yay:

Nah, we had the chance to ditch this place a few years ago but turned down the offer. For now Florida is our getaway!
