Mark Lowry did indeed write the song along with Buddy Greene back in 1991. Such a powerful and moving song. I end up with tears in my eyes every time I hear it. Lowry's version (with help from the Gather Vocal Band) will leave you with chills.

my mom is a huge kenny rogers fan...his christmas cd is constantly playing during the holidays so i was slightly familiar with the song...but i have totally fallen in love with clay aiken's version!! it just makes me cry it's so beautiful...
