We are seriously considering our first Marvel Day at Sea cruise in 2024 because it happens to fall the week of our now earlier Spring Break (school decided to move it for 2024!) We have sailed Concierge on Dream and Wish and we really loved both but was not keen on going back to Nassau so like this one goes to Grand Cayman (something different). My daughter (14) is a HUGE Marvel fan and my son (12) likes some of it. Question - on Wish Concierge now get into shows early. Is Dream doing this? I hear the line up for the Marvel show can be long! Wondering if any other perks of being Concierge at a MDAS cruise? Thanks so much!

Is there a Marvel show?

I do not have any concierge experience, and the way they do Marvel day at sea on the Dream may be different. But the show on the Magic, the Doctor Strange show, was held several times during the day so there weren’t any issues being able to get a seat. The other show is the deck show that they do at night, and I do not know if concierge guests get any sort of reserved space for that.

Yes, concierge has the early seating perk on the Dream but they only do it for the 2 evening shows. We went to a matinee showing of BatB and they did not offer the early seating perk for that.

We went to deck 12 an hour before the MDAS show to claim our spot (just in front of the Aquaduck entrance).

The only real MDAS-specific concierge perk is being first in line to book the ticketed character meet & greets.

Reviving this thread— can you elaborate how the ticketed character meet and greets work? Do they all go live midnight 30 days out just like the Royal Gathering? How many are there?

Back in 2022 the M&G went live at midnight 30 days in advance. There were two different meet and greets back then Spiderman & Groot and Iron Man & Black Panther. You could book one time slot for each set. They offered meet and greets on the the official MDAS and the day after. We were onboard at the end of January 2022 when they still had reduced capacity and there was plenty of availability to cancel meet and greets and reschedule when they fit into our day better.

Yes, they went live at midnight 30 days out but since we sailed concierge, we were able to send our requests to shoreside concierge 35 days out and they booked them for us.

There were 3 for our sailings: New York heroes (Spiderman & Iron Man), Asgard heroes (Loki, Thor or The Mighty Thor) and Guardians of the Galaxy (Groot with Star Lord or Gamora).

Thank you both. Sadly, I seriously doubt availability in 2024 will be like the partial capacity cruises in early 2022. We won’t be on the first MDAS sailing, so hopefully others will report how quickly their booking window comes and goes.
