We're going on the Disney cruise with Marvel Day at Sea in February from Miami. We've been on the Star Wars cruise and a lot of people (including us) dressed up for Star Wars Day. Do people dress up for Marvel day?

Not nearly as many adults dress for Marvel as dress for Star Wars. Sadly.

I have not done a Star Wars cruise, so I'm not sure how many people dress up. But and on our Marvel cruise last fall, on Marvel day there were quite a few adults in costumes. Some were full costume, some were more like cosplay or disbounding. And, many of the other adults were wearing some sort of Marvel shirt.

We were on the very first Marvel Day last year and there were a ton of adults dressed in costume. I thought quite a few of them were actually CM’s. That was by far, our favorite of the 9 cruises we’ve been on.

On our April cruise, there were maybe five other families where the adults dressed up.

Was it always a Marvel cruise, or did they add it on later? Maybe people are more participatory when booking a cruise that is Marvel from day 1.

The other thought is the fall Marvel cruises from New York were longer, 7 and 8 nights. People might have less luggage pace for costumes on shorter cruises. The Star Wars cruises are always 7 night.

We are doing a 5 night Marvel in January. I will be interested to see what the participation level is.

Couldn't say. DCL wasn't on our radar until Disney magically sent us a flyer in the mail specifically for the Marvel cruises.

We are going in March out of Miami. DD has a costume. DH & I will wear Black Panther appliqué shirts. I purchased BP tights to wear with my shirt.

We went last February and there were TONS of people dressed up. There was a costume competition in the atrium as well, and it was very well-attended.

Well now I'm sad. Or miffed. We may have gotten the one cruise where no adults bothered. And we put so much work into our costumes.

Maybe this is a sign that you should take another Marvel cruise!
