Who here likes marverl comics?

what are your favorite characters comics movies ect.

marvel fairy tales comics are the ones i like the most so far

Always been... always will be... a DC fan. Over 2000 comics (Batman titles) in storage backs me up on that.

My wife would love to have a bonfire.:lmao:

DS (11) just recently got into comics when he discovered a store downtown...I was shocked at how much they now cost, but it was a trip down memory lane for me! He is just a walking encyclopaedia of this stuff as he's practically memorized the big hardcover books I've been able to get for him at discount prices (regular price seems outrageous, but I do realize the printing is superior)! Do you have any suggestions for discounted comic books?

I nearly had a heart attack when I saw what comic books are selling for now. I could not believe that they were 5 dollars an issue. I don't know how kids today could afford them. I liked it when they were .75, but now I am showing my age. I do go to half price book stores and look at their grapic novels there. They are usually 12 dollars as compared to the 25-30 dollars new.

I collected mostly Marvel, but loved Batman. Loved Spiderman and X-Men, but also got Avengers and Fantastic Four. Enjoyed Spiderman movies and also the X-Men.

i download my from torrents lol i cant aford to buy them.
Have you tried torrents or the digital comics on marvel.com

I have loved the Avengers since I was little. I have every issue since the beginning in either the actual book or in reprint form. They have diluted the books lately with the Mighty, Dark, Innitative & Young issues. Give me one or two issues a month with the core charactors and get back to normal. Captain America is my favorite charactor, but any core Avenger will do. :3dglasses
Next to Disney, Marvel is my other obsesion

marvel is the best. they are the disney of the comic world. they have the better heroes, villians, plots, and all that stuff.

Huge Marvel Comics fan and have always enjoyed Spidey. Right now my favorite book is the Old Man Logan storyline that have running in Wolverine although I think the heavily stylized Wizard of Oz book is the type of comic that has a lot of appeal to "non comic fans" or people on this board who just don't keep up with comics. Unfortunately it is so under the radar most people will never even know it existed. Wonderful book though for children and adults. I'm really excited about the upcoming Spider-Woman web comic which looks to be the first real "motion-comic" worth going out of anyone's way to check out.

Boom! studios new Muppets comic is a blast. It's a shame they can't be selling this book outside of MuppetVision 3D in the Studios as talk about your perfect audience demographic and a great impulse buy product.

For those people who like Disney, Marvel, and a good laugh that is For Everyone, check out Marvel Artist Chris Eliopolous comic strip MISERY LOVES SHERMN at www MiseryLovesSherman dot com. Chris is a huge Disney fan and if you click the "archive" button you can read a bunch of strips which follow the family on a trip to Disney. Fun takes on the airport, prices, Disney itself, all from someone who loves The Mouse as much as everyone here. I would check out APRIL 8TH as your sample strip, and if you enjoy that one (which I can all but guarantee you will), go day by day to laugh at the family's trip.

I am not much of a fan but have a brother that has always been one.

He has ended up owning several of those comic book stores. You would be surprised at how many of his customers are adults not children. It is the adults who have the subscriptions and who are the regulars.

Marvel comics are the best. Captain America is my all time favorite character. i was so sad when they decided to kill him off and over joyed when i learned that they are bringing him back, bucky did a good job holding the mantle. marvel needs to make some serious changes, like getting rid of Norman osborn and H.A.M.M.E.R. bring back S.H.I.E.L.D and Nick Fury. im waiting for the showdown for the Avengers and those jokers the Dark Avengers. Iron Patriot HA looser.

Marvel island is my favorite place to go in islands of adventure i get my picture taken with all the characters when we go, much to the dismay of my fiancee. when they first opened the island my uncle dubbed it James island cuz they knew i would never want to leave (they were right).

Thanks for the suggestion...I read all of the Disney ones...I loved the ending!

I will agree with that. I loved comics when I was younger and have a ton and I do mean a ton stored.

a few of my favorite characters include

Wolverine...naturally doesnt everyone love him

Angel/Archangel, still remember the first time I read the comic where he got nailed to the wall by his wings...then his later tranformation into archangel was brilliant tho I wish a better artist had handled the issues around and shortly after that time.

As for the movies, loved the first Spiderman as well as the first two XMEN flicks. I thought Daredevil was halfway decent but definitely didnt get the treatment it deserved. The Daredevil character is a very dark haunted characrter which didnt come out in that movie at all. Having Afflack as Matt didnt help at all either, tho I actually thought he did a halfway decent job. I would like to see that movie get a reboot the way they gave Hulk a second chance.

I hate how in x-men 3 angel did like nothing in the movie!

Did any one read the spidey/obama comic?

3rd movie was just horrible altogether, heck nightcrawler was one of the best things about part 2 and they left him out entirely in the 3rd

I hate how they killed off Prof. X, Cyclopes, and Jean in the Third x-men movie, and how all the bad guys in the SPider-man movies keep being off'd.

Nightcrawler is awesome but the reason he didnt do a third was the actor hated all the make up and stuff he had to go though every day.

Cuz killing every one off all ways makes a good movie! :lmao:

lol

They are making iorn man 2 hope that doesnt suck
