To anyone who has used the martha labels for their save the dates/invitations, I'm looking for some help. Lurkyloo, I remember seeing them in your TR, not sure if anyone else did them too...

Did you follow the directions on her website to a T? Did you use a sticker machine (I don't have one) or did you use full-sheet label paper or what? Was cutting them out a pain? I kind of want to do them, but I don't want to waste my time and get frustrated over it if it's too much of a hassle. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Btw, if you don't know what I'm talking about, these are martha labels: http://www.marthastewart.com/good-t...rsc=taxonomylist_weddings_wedding-invitations

Let's see... I think I followed the directions ... mostly.

They are kind of a pain. For one thing, you can't do one document with pages and pages of labels in them cuz Martha locked the template (I tried to duplicate the single page and then add it back into the PDF multiple times using Acrobat Pro, but each page would automatically load whatever addresses were on the first page).

So, you have to input addresses and print one sheet at a time. What you can do is save a bazillion copies of the PDF and have each one be a different page of addresses.

I printed them on full-sheet label paper and then cut them out using a paper trimmer or an X-acto knife. Again, kind of a pain. But they looked dang good! :thumbsup2

i used those labels as well, but did things a bit differently. i played around with the margins in word and just did a word file for all of my addresses. i used regular paper, cut them out with a paper cutter and used a glue stick to adhere them to the envelopes. for my thank you notes i used full sheet adhesive labels and used the paper cutter to cut them out.

Thanks for your help ladies! Caryn, the glue stick is a brilliant idea. I still have to decide if I really want to go to all the trouble to make these or just use clear address labels...I'll keep thinking about it.

Thanks again!

Here is a picture of the labels' utter fabulosity to help you decide... :rotfl:
