Both resorts are really quite nice and they offer similar amenities. CH has two main pool areas. The clubhouse pool area is adjacent to the food court - Pizza Hut Express, the Marketplace store, the Pavillion bar, and a grille. There's a big, irregularly shaped pool and a smaller, shallower childrens' pool. Across the small lake (connected by bridge), the Island Pool area has another irregularly shaped pool, a lap pool, a sauna and a couple of hot tubs. There's also a small pool at the end of the lake serving buildings 60 and 62 and quite near the recreation area. Lot's of free and pay activities offered through the Maze activity program.
Grande Vista is a larger resort that might be 1 1/2 times the size of Cypress Harbour. While Marriott started building this one after CH, their interiors are pretty much on par as CH has recently undergone a complete refurbishment and villas other than the very newest at GV are going through refurb right now. There are also two main pool areas at GV - the clubhouse pool and the West Village pool at Plaza del Sol. GV has all the features noted above for CH plus area pools to serve the population in some of the buildings that are near the golf course. GV also has a full service restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the golf course.
We really like both of these resorts - I don't think that you can go wrong with either one of them.
