Marriott World Center - pool refurbishment

I recently heard that Marriot just completed a portion of the refurbishment on their largest pool. Does anyone have pictures? We have stayed there in the past and we were booking there again but I just heard that the pool reopened 3 weeks ago but the new slide will not be open until May. We are planning an April trip.

We were there in Feb 2011 and were asked to be a part of a pool survey. they fed us breakfast and gave us $100 im Marriott money for giving our thoughts. I wondered how they were going to pull of the refurb. That is an amazing pool even before they updated it.

I hope it is better. People here seem to think that pool is great, and it is average. It definitely looked outdated, and needed work. There are far better pools at comparable resorts in Orlando for better prices (You pay a premium for the location, which you should).

Having said that, the World Center is a good choice for a hotel. Great location. I believe all of their rooms have been refurb'd by now too.

My first stay at the World Center (Sable Palms condo) was in 1993. The pool has not changed a lot in 20 years. It is still pretty nice for new people, but not so much for those who have been there a few times over the years.

That I am not sure of, b/c I dont know the square footage of it nor others. It is definitely huge, no doubt.

I hope my first post didn't give the impression that the World Center is not a nice resort because it definitely is.
