With a family discount for $50 US, the great contenental breakfast included and the location (2 mins from gates) this was a bargain. Regular Rack rate at high season can go up to $199

Another guest told us he got it for $53 on Expedia.com! So it is a great place.
three hotels at this site to choose from and you can use the pool from any of these at any time.
Clean and bright. Great staff.
Includes a microwave and small empty fridge. Sleeps six just fine if you don't mind sharing. Two TVs sink outside bathroom.

I will second the motion on SpringHill Suites. We stayed there last August for $63 per night. Enjoyed ourselves...very, very close to WDW parks in a gated community.

How did you all get the $53 dollar rate? For that I would go back again this year. I am trying to hold out to 2005 and have my finances in order to have a good stress free time.

Those are some pretty good rates, wish I was that lucky. I think our rate is $93 a night w/ AAA. We are also going in March which I assume inflates the price some, either way we are looking forward to going.

Hi. How is the pool area? Is there a slide? Do you think it would be enough for 3 kids, age 10 and under on our non-park days? Thank you!

There is a sprinkler section for young children, a zero depth entry into the main pool and a outdoor jacuzzi. They supply towels for the pool area and a bin for dumping them when you are done. There was also plenty of areas for lounging and reading, if that suits your fancy.

I would definitely stay there again. I like to try new places, so we are looking for something comparable to SpringHill for our next trip to the world.

Did you check out the other two hotels while you were there? I like this area for a summer trip and I am trying to decide which hotel. We are a family of five, two adults & three kids. If I understand the web site correctly Spring Hill comes with the sofa bed and the Courtyard and Fairfield would need a roll away bed. It says they are free of charge. Were the beds at Spring Hill queen or full? How was the free continental breakfast? Thanks for any info. We have always stayed onsight but with no summer discounts and being a family of five we are looking at options outside the world. Cleanliness of the room and pool are extremely important to me.

Cleaniness is a must for me, so that is why I am so cautious about staying in places that offer really low rates. However, SpringHill is clean and comfortable enough for five. There are two beds (not sure if they are full or queen) enough room for two per bed. There is also a pull out sofa (which we never pulled out) but my daughter decided to use as a bed since the second TV was in the area. If you decide to use the pull out, the room may become a little crowded (there's a coffee table to move). The breakfast buffet was plentiful for my daughter and me. It consisted of fruits, muffins, bagels, their version of a sausage mcmuffin, cereals, milk, juices, coffee, tea, etc. My daughter, who can be a little picky at times, always found something to satisfy her. This meal help cut our costs a lot during oue vacation.

Take a visual look at the rooms (Expedia or Travelocity). That should give you a better idea if the space will work for you. I did not get a look at the inside of the other two properties, however the Lake Bryan Village itself is gated and very clean.

Maybe you should also look into suites that have two bedrooms so that you all can spread out a little.

Just bringing this thread to life again..since I am so close to arriving..:bounce:

Wondered if anyone else had some good information or experience with this place? What was the average driving time to each of the four theme parks, from what I gather it sounds pretty close..

Thanks again!

Great questions. I'm wondering the same thing as well since we'll be there in May for the first time! Can't wait. The time isn't passing by quickly enough for me!

at Marriott Village. Loved it. Very nice. Very convenient. We are staying for a few days again next year before checking into my dad's condo. I highly recommend either of the three at the village.

Sorry I just called them and said if keswick1uk asks for a good room when they get there, to tell them that I got the best room there! Haha :)

Have a great time and maybe we will run into another!!

Thanks for all the great information so far, getting very excited for our first family trip in probably ten years!

I just booked this hotel for the second half of my Florida vacation. Sounds good. I also booked one night through priceline.com at the beginning of the vacation (just for fun) and got Marriott World Centre.

I have a question..

I keep hearing that Marriott Village is across the street from Premium outlet mall. When we were there in 2002 a big grocery store was being built... Is the mall/grocery store walking distance to the hotels or will I need to drive? I'm trying to avoid driving as much as possible!

LOL at KBFINFAN

Have a great time and maybe we will run into another!!

You might be right there! I'm on week two and three of my half marathon training so if you see a sad (and very slow) soul on the jogging path or treading the mill say Hi!

Unless you like to get your exercise I would take your car to get to the outlet mall. That is also a busy road and I don't know that I would walk it.

I have stayed at all 3 properties. They all were very clean and well kept. Our favorite is the Courtyard, then Fairfield , Springhill Suites.

You can't go wrong at any of them.

Getting quite excited w/ all these positive and helpful comments!

I read/heard somewhere that some of the SpringHill rooms have balconies/porches (what ever you want to call them) is this true? Did anyone have one, and were they extra? Wondering if I should call ahead and have them note it in my reservation.

Forgive me for bringing this to the top so many times, just very anxious and am getting such great replies!

I did not notice any balconies or patios at this hotel. That would be a nice added feature if you were planning on spending a lot of time in your room. We basically used our room for sleeping, dressing and eating some quick meals. Fabulous and clean and a very good deal.

Wish I could get a good rate like this one for staying on Disney property

Just returned and while we didn't stay at any of the three, we did visit there for a future stay (hopefully). I noticed a few balconies at SpringHill Suites. They were more like covered porches.

We did not stay at this location but really liked the Spring Hill Suites in Nashville. It became my new favorite hotel 'chain'.

I would definitely not try to walk to the outlet or grocery from there though.
