Marriott Rollaway beds-comfortable?

I wanted to know if anyone has ever used the rollaway beds from Marriott. Are they comfortable? They don't make loud squeaky sounds when you toss & turn now do they? Are the sheets as comfortable as their beds? I know that when we stayed at the RI Resort in Garden Grove a few weeks ago their beds were wonderful... and I am picky so I was hoping that their rooms would be comparable to the Garden Grove location.

I get a really good corporate discount on the RI Maingate but it only applies to the Studio w/ 1 queen or the Penthouse (too big for our family) so we thought with the good rate I'll be getting, it's probably worth it for us to just bring in a rollaway bed for our family of 3.

I understand that the RI Maingate, although an older hotel got renovated in 2005 but some reviews say that it looks old & dated but some say that it's like brand new. Anyone stayed at the RI Maingate lately? Thanks for you input.

We just had a Marriott rollaway last weekend at a Marriott in Utah. It was very comfortable, one of the best rollaways we've ever used. Not sure if the rollaways are standard across all Marriotts but we sure liked this one.

We have stayed there the last two years and it has been recently remodeled. Since there are 6 of us we would rather stay there than most other places, it gives us adequate space and really not a long walk. Beside that I feel that a number of places do not want the number of people we have in the family staying with them. Really not that many of nice suites available. With free grocery shopping and the full kitchen it makes life much easier for our group. I would not think a rollaway would be much of an issue for a teen or younger.

Have a great time,

Blackjackdelta, how long of a walk is it to DL? Is the ART shuttle convenient to walk to from the hotel? I know that the RI Garden Grove, the shuttle stops right at the side of the hotel, very convenient.

How about the free morning breakfast, how far is it from the rooms. Should we request to be closer to the main breafast area when reserving our room?

Just call me Jack.

The walk is just under .5 miles to the entrance. ART stop is either in front or on the side of the hotel, it seems to move from year to year. The breaks setup is in the middle of the complex right next door to the main lobby. You can request to be closer but it does not mean you will get it. Usually about 2 minutes from most of the rooms just depending on how fast you move. We find it very nice for us since we move back and forth to the resort at least 2 times a day.
