Those of you with Marriott points, where do you stay? I like the Fairfield's close proximity, but I don't like the fact that you enter the room from the outside. The Springhill is an option, but definitely not the cheapest. How about Anaheim Marriott? Can we walk from there? We don't plan on having a car, so we need to be able to walk or take a shuttle or ART.

We just returned from our stay at the Anaheim Marriott. It was great! We walked to the parks each day, very quick and easy!

Whenever there is a full-service Marriott as an option, I don't even consider places like Fairfields or Courtyards. And the Anaheim Marriott is a very good property--huge, but with nice rooms, good staff, and plenty of the expected amenities. That being said, I've read great reviews of the Fairfield literally across the street from the Disneyland esplanade. They have family suites as well, which has been tempting. But in the end the higher quality soft and hard goods of the full-service Marriott, plus the extras like a huge concierge lounge, have kept me going back there despite the somewhat longer walk.

I've stayed at Courtyard and Residence Inn Anaheim Maingate, and other various Marriotts' around the southern California vicinity. Just those two closest to Disneyland. In August, we'll be staying at Springhill Suites on Ball. It'll be our first stay in a Springhill, which is another Marriott I haven't actually stayed in, so I'll be sure to post something about it.

However, I don't really care much about being able to walk to the park because we drive down from Oregon so I have my car with me. It's even easier because I get my tickets from AAA, which gives us free parking so I don't have to pay to park in the structures. This means I've never had to take the shuttles either, so I can't say much for that.

I would suggest doing Fairfield for the closest location, but Residence Inn Anaheim Maingate might be a location you'd check out as well. I stayed there, but we saw a lot of families walking to the park from there and back.

Like to hear your report on Springhill, thinking of staying there next trip.

Most definitely. We're so looking forward to it! I can't believe by tomorrow, we'll be leaving in only two weeks. xD And I don't think I've ever stayed in a relatively new hotel (it's only been open since March of this year), so I'm excited to experience its newness.
