Marriott Newport Coast Villas-disney tickets

We are staying at the Marriott Newport Coast Villas in Newport Beach right now. At the pool they have a poster that has a promotion written on it about going to a timeshare preview has 4 choices of gifts: golf, marriott points, gift card to the mall, or 2 adult tickets to Disneyland. Just in case anyone is interested.

Also, i know people have posted here wondering about the place. It is nice. Rooms are big, and their beds comfy. It is clean and well run, but far from the beach. Even by car it is a long walk down a path to the beach with our 3 kids, and horribly long back up the hill at the end on the day. The pools are nice and they have so many different activities on site. We would definitely come here again, and we are even thinking of buying the timeshare. The view is nice from our room and the kitchen well stocked with tools for cooking. In all, a nice place to stay.

We are excited to stay at NCV in October but I'm disappointed to hear how far away the beach is...are there other beaches within close driving distance you'd recommend? It's hard to walk far with our 2 year old right now, but we are excited to try the resort.

we actually really liked the beach that the shuttle goes to, but we drove so that we would not be reliant on the shuttle and having to wait. Also, while the beach was a walk, my 3 yr old did it. It was just a steep hill. If you go down to Newport, there are tons of beaches, they are just much more crowded. It may not be as bad in the fall because the lifeguard camp will be over.
it has been our kids favorite beach trip, and we have been to lots of beaches.
