Marriott Cypress Harbour - Early Check In?

Hi all. Has anyone ever checked in early at Marriotts Cypress Harbour (or any of the Marriott timeshares)? We're arriving at 10:00 a.m. but don't plan to do any parks our first day. Wondering if they allow early check-in to use their pool? Thanks!

I'm sure they would allow you to use the pool if your room isn't ready. I would either call them up and ask. Or maybe like us, we stayed there in Oct. '03, the room was ready. Can't remember exactly what time that was but I'm quite certain is was around lunchtime. You're going to love it!! We loved it so much, we bought at the Grande Vista which is right down the road. Enjoy your vacation. Oh, it's only about 15 minutes from WDW.

Thank you, Maria. We're actually touring the Grande Vista, our first attempt at a timeshare tour, and that's how we got a great friendshare rate to stay at Cypress Harbour. 15 mts. from WDW; so would I be closer to Universal or is it 15 mts. (for the geographically challenged such as myself!) in the other direction? Thanks again!

WDW property line is about 15 min from Cypress Harbour - either IB or I4.

It is close to SW- walking distance (my opinion).

It is about in the middle between US/IOA and WDW. probably a little closer to WDW.

Lorilori - If you want to be near the clubhouse, building 52 or 53 are on either side of it. Very convenient if you need to go to the little market that they have or one of the pools. They have a little shuttle boat that is right near 52 that will take you across the lake to the boathouse. That is where all the sports activities are (game room, basketball court, bicycle rentals, arcade, etc). I am going to try to attempt to PM you the map of Cypress Harbour. I'm not the most savy of computer literates. Hope it works.

We stayed a couple of years ago and arrived around 8:30am after a cross country red-eye. They were extremely accommodating, although our condo wasn't ready they gave us the option of the next closest one to the pool (clubhouse area) which we requested. We took it, and checked in right away.

we showed up at noon. We wanted a room in one of the buildings near the main pool (51##) so because of this request we waited until almost 5:00 when our room was ready. It was a beautiful room and a great location so I'm glad we waited. We checked our luggage and the kids got their suits on and we sat by the pool until the room was ready. If we didn't have a specific room request we could have got right in. It is a great resort, you'll love it.

For those of you who have stayed at Cypress Harbour before, is there a smoking building? There is one smoker in our party. I have stayed there before but can't remember if I saw ash trays in the villas or even if they asked smoking or non smoking.

I am pretty sure all the Marriott Vacation CLub has smoking villa building.

but I don't remember either.

If you like wine - definitely do their wine tasting - it was only $5 per person and worth every penny!!!
