Has anyone been able to purchase their Disney tickets and charge them to their room? We have several Marriott Gift Cards and would like to use them to pay for our tickets. I think I had read some Marriotts allow this and it isn't an option at others. Any info would be great!

You are correct; some do and some don't.

This is exactly what I did with my kids last August. I had a bunch of Marriott gift cards that I wanted to use for our tickets (charge to the room), and had found great deals on getaways (through Interval International; we're owners at Marriott's Ko Olina in Hawaii). So, I called around once I found where we could stay (Grande Vista one bedroom and Sabal Palms two bedroom). We could charge our tickets to the room at the Grande Vista, but could not do it at Sabal Palms. I booked one getaway at Grande Vista (and we just made due with the one bedroom having my son sleep on the sofabed and my daughter and I in the king bed) - then booked another two consecutive getaways that started 4 days later (getaways are 7 days, but it was still so much cheaper to leave early - each week was only about $300 total) at Sabal Palms. We stayed a total of 15 nights, leaving early also from Sabal Palms, but spent less than $1,000 total on lodging so it was still such a great deal!

The best deal was charging our 10 day park hopper with water fun & more tickets (3 of them) to the room and using gift cards! It was a super cheap trip, and a great way to use the gift cards for Disney tickets!

I had called around, and don't think there were many Marriotts that let you charge tickets to the room.

Thanks, happy mommy! I will call around and check it out...we have previously stayed at the Marriott Vacation Club, Harbour Lake...we used our points for lodging on that trip, but now have enough points for lodging and gift cards!

We could definitely do a one night stay at a marriott that would let us charge our tickets to the room and then move to another marriott for the rest of our trip.

I don't know if it would work, if your stay is before October 31, Marriott has a promotion at a few of their Orlando hotels where you get a $50 resort credit for each night you stay. Here's link to the offer: http://flsave.com/resortcredit
It says the credit can't be used to pay for the room, but it can be used for anything charged to the room so if they let you charge your tickets to your room, you could book your room under this promotion, pay for the room with gift cards like you were going to do anyway & you'd get a $50 credit for each night which would be deducted when you check out. If you stayed 4 nights, that would knock $200 off your Disney ticket price.
Definately should call the hotel first & make sure you can charge tickets to the room, but I wouldn't clue them in to the promotion or they may get the idea to exclude it since so many would take advantage of it.
