Has anyone stayed at the Marriott Anaheim lately? I found a great rate next month for our family and would love feedback. Can you tell me about the walk to the park or did you use ART? Many thanks!!!

Fairfield Inn by Marriott?

If so the walk to the park is between 5-10 minutes......very close and a nice hotel.

I was in august and have a 2 year old daughter, 7 year old daughter, 14 year old daughter.

The walk was very acceptable.

There are half a dozen Marriott's close to the park -- Fairfield, 2 Residence Inn, a Courtyard & a big Marriott by the convention center. I've stayed at all of them.

The big Marriott: if you have a family of four & expect to stay in a king size bed w/ a pull-out sofa for the kids, cancel your reservation & go to the Courtyard. Their king-size rooms don't have a sofa bed -- they get to four in those rooms by 3 in the king size + 1 roll-away. Very, very lame! The restaurant downstairs is fine, but over priced for breakfast & dinner. The front desk folks are not very helpful. The valets are great! If you take ART, go to the hotel across the street to wait for it -- you'll get a better chance of getting a seat. It took me 40 minutes walking to get to entrance gate w/out kids, but I was having an off morning. They do have a Starbucks & Pizza Hut, however Starbucks didn't open early enough or late enough since we were getting to the park at the crack of dawn and getting back after 9 every day. The Pizza Hut was mediocre & we were only back at the hotel one evening early enough to order.

We hate the Residence Inn Maingate -- IMHO the closer you get to the park, the worse the service is. The beds there are rock hard -- same w/ the Town & Country by the ball-park.

Fairfield Inn -- see above about service. We have PAPs so we park for free at DL.

Our best are either the Courtyard or the Residence Inn in Garden Grove. Both have good beds & 'good for being that close to DL service'. The Residence Inn doesn't have enough parking, so if you get back really late, you'll have to walk a ways.

Happy to hear good things about Courtyard Marriott Anaheim-I just made reservations there for our DL trip! We needed bunk beds with a bed in one room, and another bed in a separate room and found it at the Courtyard Marriott!
