The video of Henry opening the monorail is so sweet. He is such a gracious little boy!
Congrats with all of your exciting news! The TA position sounds very intriguing now that my girls are in school more.
He was completely thrilled with the monorail - and still is! We most likely will be adding on Epcot (or something) next time we are at the World.
The TA job is a good balance between working and still staying home. It feels really good to be working again!
Congrats on booking the cruise and becoming a TA!
I've been thinking of doing the same thing. I may have to PM you a few questions.
Thank you!!! Feel free to PM me! I had several TAs advise me and I'd love to pass on the favor.
Congrats on the new TA job. That sounds like soooooooo muuuuuucccchhhhh FUN! I really want to be a TA!
The cruise out of NYC sounds fantastic. That is something I would really like to do. Seriously, no air fare. How great is that? I would love to plan a summer cruise. Better start talking to Denny about that.
Fun update and I loved all the videos. The monorail surprise was great. The tea cups - Yup - I started to get a little dizzy there. Thanks for that!!!!!
Fun Fun!
So far it is fun! And it's a lot of work/research! I know things will get a bit more organized and "calm" after I graduate and after I have a pattern of things. It's like that with any new job - just getting my feet wet! Thankfully I'm a Disney addict, so spending the extra time on it is completely enjoyable.
We are THRILLED with no airfare. We can already picture ourselves just hopping in a car and arriving at the port 20 minutes later. After the cruise there will be no hassle, just hop into a cab and head home. No dealing with getting to the airport or waiting on a plane.

Plus, for everyone that doesn't live in this area, they can easily make it into a NYC trip as well! Doesn't get much better than that.
I am here! I'll have to go back and catch up but I am so happy that Henry enjoys the monorail!!!! He's too cute!
The TA job sounds so wonderful too!
Thank you again for it! We have a little something for you that we have been putting together. I think we'll be able to get it in the mail shortly after we get one more thing. It gets a LOT of play around here and we are all very grateful for it!
Congratulations! What an exciting week for you. I am certain you will love working as a Disney TA. I'd love to hear more about the process, the college of Disney knowledge etc. And how super duper exciting to have booked a cruise AND be celebrating your b-day on
Castaway Cay!
How adorable is H with the monorail set!

I wonder why he didn't want a haircut that morning.

He's truly a DISer in the making between the food pics and having a very clear touring plan that did NOT include a stop for a haircut.
I have to confess I was not brave enough to watch the teacups video. Your description alone made me

.
Can't wait for more!!
It has been a fun week!!!!
As for becoming a TA, I emailed quite a few different companies and applied to a few of them. The one I went with was actually the first one I heard a "yes" back from - and I couldn't be happier with my choice. It's a great group of people! The Disney College of Knowledge is a course for TA's, it covers all the various Disney trips (WDW, DL, ABD,
DCL and beyond) and marketing them. It's really useful and interesting. I'm enjoying it! And I'm just itchin' for a cruise, a DL trip and an ABD trip now.
LOL about his touring plan!!! I wonder if that was it - he just wanted to get on the rides! I wouldn't doubt it for a second. We still haven't gotten a hair cut - we have gotten past an annoying stage where it looked funny - and now it's cute and shaggy again, so I don't want to cut it! But, I have mentioned a few times about one and he's completely agreeable to it...so who knows!
The video is NOT enjoyable - you made a good choice!
Congrats to you Brook! I know you'll love being a TA!

I do it on the side for fun but it would sure be nice to get paid for helping so many people!! lol
The
Disney cruise from NYC is just perfect for you guys (and others that can take advantage of the new ports). We've been really considering the Dream for next year but we'd have to give up other vacations so we'll see...
That was so extremely sweet of Carol to give Henry the monorail set!

My DS has had his about 2-3 years and he still plays with it when he sets up the world in his playroom. Their imaginations are endless and it's been a great investment.
Loving the pictures and the TR!

That is kinda what I figured! I have helped many friends planning their trips, so why not let Disney pay me for it? Plus, I am pretty sure I have a decent market here with my Mom's Group. It's something I enjoy, something that is very helpful - especially for first timers - and it will be a nice little side income.
The Dream looks amazing. I want to cruse on it this year - but that's just a dream.

I've priced just about everything though!
Do you have the other playsets for the monorail too? Henry has spoken about getting the CR (though, I am pretty certain it's not made anymore) and Epcot. I'm thinking we'll add to the set on the next trip! We currently make the stops out of Legos.
Winnie the Queue!

I love it!
You guys always sound like you're having SO MUCH FUN in your TR's!! Not that other people don't but well it just translates well into words, KWIM??
Personally, I HATE the Tomorrowland Race Cars so this past trip when the boys headed over there to do them, we girls were in line to meet the fairies in Toontown. In fact, I don't believe I stepped foot in Tomorrowland AT ALL in January.

But, like you I didn't really care. She was determined to get back in line to meet the princesses once the (long) wait for the fairies was done and we had such great Mommy Daughter bonding time that it was a small sacrifice to make.
Besides, it just means we need to plan a return trip that much sooner.
Keep up the great work...can't wait for more!
I gotta admit, I "stole" that title from a Podcast I listen to! I thought it was so clever when I saw the Podcast title that I used it! So, it's not my imagination, just my memory.
It really is worth the sacrifice to do something that lights up our kiddos faces, isn't it? Even if it's not really something we care about or even enjoy. Henry LOVES those cars...I don't hate them, but I would certainly skip over them if he didn't care!
And yes, missing a land is a perfect excuse for another trip!
