Marriage: The Trip Report - Update 2/28 - Final Thoughts & Link to Disneyland TR!

I am SO glad you found your stroller!! That is my biggest nightmare...that mine will go missing. I know it doesnt happen much, but that is our kind of luck:eek: Cant wait to read more....I love getting my Disney Fix.....
25 DAYS!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe how quickly your trip is approaching! You'll be doing another TR too, right??? :hyper:

If you need bokk suggestions..you know who to ask ;)

I just posted on our Facebook Board! :thumbsup2

I agree about Pinocchios. The food isn't great. But we love the restaurant. We love the atmosphere...and we normally eat in the attic when my mom and I are alone. Or where you ate when my dad's with us.

Which part is the attic? I need to explore that restaurant more! We were in there later in the trip too and I really started to notice the murals-they are beautiful!

I love this picture!!! I wish that was my view right now!

Oh man I would have been freaking out too about the stroller! I'm happy you found it! How awful would that have been if it had been stolen!

"The flying blankies" - Henry is too adorable! :goodvibes

Me tooooooo! I love the carousel with the Castle at night. :lovestruc I think the new Fantasyland will be even more beautiful!

Isn't that funny about the flying blankies? We never even corrected him, we just called it that for the rest of the trip!

Ahhhh, SAB looks heavenly :cloud9: It seems as though I am going to have a chance to check it out for myself the day before our cruise, and I WILL be hitting up that slide! :woohoo:

So sorry about the stoller ordeal. I can totally picture the scene too, frustrated wife, has to do everything herself.......uggggg, men! Only to be followed by, oh no, he was right.....bummer! I hate it when that happens :rolleyes1

You guys will LOVE SAB! It's like a little Disney water park!

:rotfl: it's a total kick in the pants when the husbands are right, isn't it!??! (good for the soul though...sigh )

My luggage is bright pink. You cannot mistake it for anyone elses...so I know when it comes off the carousel at baggage claim that it's mine. Everyone makes fun of me for it, but it works.

I think when/if I have kids, I will also employ this same strategy with strollers.

You are SMART. And they do make some pretty "loud" strollers. I've seen neon green! Ours is brown. Very normal-thought slightly better than black.

I am so happy you found the stroller. Yay Stephen. I know the woes of looking for lost items...way to well. ;)
The beach/pool afternoon looked wonderful. I'm like you, I get antsy too. Skip has more patience for that stuff as well.

I love the flying blankies at night!

Glad you are back to posting again!

I am really trying to post more regularly. I'm drastically behind on everyone's TRs again, but I'm going to at least try to keep up on my own regularly!

Those few moments with the lost stroller were awful. I was almost in full-on panic/meltdown mode. Sure, we could rent-but after we got back home we'd have to fork out the cash for a new one too! Our stroller is like our CAR here!

Look at your ticker girl!!! You are so close...and I'm right behind you!!!
Cant wait to read more :goodvibes

I bet the pizza would've been much better hot. But honestly, it's never appealed to DH or I. I think we tend to go for more substantial CS to get the most "bang for our buck" so to speak.:lmao:

I cannot believe how different Henry looks in that picture and now! I think the haircut has something to do with it.:goodvibes

I am glad that you were able to find the stroller, Stephen was sent by Disney to make sure that your evening turned out magical.:wizard: I love CM's like that and I truly hope that Disney does recognize the comments that guests put forward and give some type of reward to CM's for a job well done:thumbsup2.

YOU ONLY HAVE 16 DAYS UNTIL YOU'RE BACK SOLO!!!!

What a great TR, can't wait to read more. You are so lucky that you get to go to the world again. And another great thing is that we are going at the same time.:woohoo: Me and my DS are going on May 29th- june 3rd and are staying at Pop. Maybe we will see you around.:yay:

:dance3: Watch for me!!! I'll post my plans here too before I go so we can see if we match up anywhere. I still don't have them all figured out yet...!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for extra special CM's! It certainly is what makes Disney special. I understand why they move strollers, but it can be so frustrating; however, it seems as if this one just "rolled away" or someone thought it was theirs, realized it wasn't and left it in the middle of traffic. :confused3

I have to say that mac & cheese looks awful! And Disney pizza

It really is what makes Disney so unique. It matters to me a TON that everything is friendly and just done for you. Incredible service! On my Twitter feed the other day Samantha Brown posted that on the European Adventures by Disney tours the guides bring ice with since it's common in Europe to drink everything warm! Isn't that amazing?

I'm not a huge fan of Disney pizza either. It's just kinda meh. It seems like the stuff at Pizza Planet and Pizzafari are the best tasting for some reason. Other than Via Napoli of course!

Two updates!:woohoo: Oh lucky day!

Love  SAB! DH and I hemmed and hawed over where to stay for our next trip in January. The Beach Club really appeals to us because we love Epcot so much and you get to play SAB. But January could be mighty cold, it's a crapshoot weather-wise.

Henry is his usual cute self and looked like he was in heaven there! How did you ever manage to pull him away?

Brook, I think we're long lost sisters because your reaction at Pinocchio Village Haus would be identical to mine! I can just imagine the big sigh I would have given DH if he came back without napkins or cutlery AND not being able to find the stroller! Poor Joe though, he was wrongly accused!

What a wonderful CM to have been so helpful with your stroller. Weird though that it was in the middle like that. Do you think someone took it by accident and then just left it there??:confused3

And this picture is stunning!
1201861281_Erbct-L.jpg

Ya, our next trip will probably be in February 2012 and while I want the Beach Club, it can still be iffy weather wise, so I hesitate on trying to get the Beach Club. I'd be upset if that beautiful pool was sitting there and it was too cold to use it!

I have no idea why the stroller was in the middle of the walkway...maybe someone thought it was theirs, or it got bumped out just before fireworks, or someone used it for their kid?! Who knows! :confused3

Thank you on the picture! I just love that sight in Fantasyland, it truly looks like a fairytale.

yes i would cansider working on planning for your trip

I worked on it a bit the other day-but I have so much more to go! I'm awaiting some feedback from my friend before I put anything solid down...but at least I have actual notes now and it's not just all in my head. :rotfl:

Hi There! I'm joining in for the fun! :yay:

I love your updates so far! SAB is so much fun! We stayed there once pre-kids and had a blast, I'm looking forward to taking Everett in the future- maybe when I don't have to worry about him eating the sand :headache:

I'm so sorry your stroller disappeared, but I was happy to read that you were re-united! I know its a bit of overkill, but I always lock my stroller when we go to WDW. I'm so afraid of loosing it, I don't know what I would do without my stroller, but at WDW and once we got back home!

:welcome: Thank you for joining in!!!

:lmao: about the sand! I remember those days! But yes, soon enough he'll be loving that pool and just digging in the sand instead of eating it! lol

That's really not a bad idea about locking your stroller. :scratchin Does it prevent the CMs from moving it too?

Great Stormalong Bay pictures. It really is a neat pool area. Looks like Henry definitely enjoyed himself! And then what a great night at the MK...except for nearly losing the stroller.

Henry did love that pool! He still talks about it. He's so ready to go back to Mickey's House!

we didn't lose our stroller while at WDW but we did lose the sippy cup! Looked all around the stroller parking area...CM's helping me look. Finally went to buy one at the little cart in the Playhouse DIsney area...and I see it sitting there. Someone had turned it in into them! I would have never found it had i went to go buy another one!

Oh wow! That is so nice!!!! We haven't ever lost a sippy cup, but just my sunglasses-I never even went to check if someone turned them in.

Brook, I am going to send you a FB message....I might be joining you soon. :)

I would have had a hard time with a lost stroller, too - yikes!!! Glad it was found. :)

Happy Mother's Day, Brook.

dumbo.gif

That is so sweet! Thank you Kathy! I hope you had a wonderful day as well!

Yay that you found the stroller! And luvin Henry's new name for the magic carpets!

I think that name might stick with our family for a while. :rotfl:

Ugh what a stressful situation to not know where the stroller was, thank goodness you were able to find it

I loved the flying blankies comment, how cute!!

It was an awful moment looking for the stroller - and one I just remember all too well from our Fantasmic stroller mix-up ordeal a couple years ago. That same panic and then relief! I cannot wait to be stroller free! LOL

LOL Flying blankies!! I think that should be the ride's new name!!!

So glad you found the stroller, I can't imagine the panic that set in when you couldn't find it!! YAY for a great CM and great service, not to mention FP to boot!! WOOT WOOT!!!!

Isn't that a cute name? And I can't even count how many times we flew on those blankies this trip....! He LOVED it!

The pizza there looks good even if the mac n cheese was not! Sounds stressful but luckily you found the stroller, I would have been freaking out!! Can't wait to hear all about the 'flying blankies'..Happy Mothers Day!

The mac & cheese at Disney seems hit and miss. I think if it's really fresh it's good-Henry has gobbled it before...but when it's the bottom of the pan, it gets all gooey...:headache:

SOOOOO jealous of this!!! :lmao:

I know it seems like such a simple little thing, but everyone who knows me knows that I am completely OBSESSED with Target! My parents get a rental car every year & when they told me there are 3-4 Targets within a 15 mile radius of Disney Property -- AND on top of that, one is a SUPER TARGET, wow! I was so amazed (and super jealous that they went there!) :lmao:

You probably think I'm nuts now! :rolleyes1

LOL no, I don't think you are nuts! I'm a Target fan too! It was a bit of a relief finding one near WDW and just having something familiar and easy to shop in too!

No worries here Brook!!!! :thumbsup2

Take your time!!! I can't say anything because it took me over 8 months to finish my June trip report last year! :lmao:

Besides, so many other "life things" get in the way of DIS-ing! Catch up whenever you can! I'm patient & still here waiting, as I'm sure everyone else is too!!!

Thank you! Real life--and now work!-- do get in the way. I try to get back here at least a couple times a week. Someday I know I will catch up again....!

I'm definitely planning to take my rolling carry-on bag whenever we walk to the Hess Station! Most likely, we will also have Luke's stroller with us. Even if he doesn't want to ride in it on the way over, we're still taking it -- just in case he gets tired of walking & also for storage of our grocery items!

Very good idea - while the walk isn't too long, liquids get heavy fast!

I don't blame you at all -- I am not a fan of water slides either!!! That's one reason I don't want to go to the water park. I sort of want to go just to see it since I've never been before. But I know I'll do 1 of 2 things -- either just lay on a chair all day or go to the kiddie area with Luke & lay in the shallow part of the water :lmao:

Personally, I'd much rather just hang out at Stormalong Bay!!! :thumbsup2

I want to see the water parks--I know the theming is just awesome. Plus, like you said, I'd enjoy hanging out in the shallow areas/kiddie areas and hang out with Henry. I would also do any sort of lazy river and maybe ride the waves on a raft in a wave pool. I'll do the slides too, but they will freak me out a bit I'm sure!

I'm really excited to get these this year! I like the new design & colors!

I'm glad to hear Henry was excited to have his own mug -- I really think Luke will be excited too, especially because he already claimed mine from last year! When I get him a drink in it, he says "This is my Disney cup Mommy."

That's just like Henry! :rotfl: He was thrilled to have a mug just like ours! And he still calls it his when we use it at home.

See that table on the very left-hand side, its almost hidden by the pool area? That's where we sat last year after our Photo Session!!!! Brings back such great memories & I cannot wait to see SAB in person this trip!!!

All of your pictures of SAB were gorgeous!!!!

You will love it!!!!! It's so beautiful!

I know what you mean, I get antsy too! I like to relax some, but not too much. There are alot of beautiful places at the Beach Club & I keep telling myself I need to take my Kindle or write in my journal & just relax. But deep down, I know the truth -- there's no way I can possibly relax at Disney! I have to go, go, go!!! LOL

It is SO HARD! Before the trip I always tell myself I will enjoy the times we are doing nothing, but in reality, I'm always itchin' to go. There are just so many things I want to see and do! And yes, there is always the "next trip", but still....it's hard to convince myself to wait.

I think I read this somewhere, but can't remember for sure. Do you rent the tubes to use in the Lazy River?

Yep. I think it was $3 for an hour or $10 for the day. We rented one later in the trip and she told us to just bring it back whenever even though we only wanted it for an hour. Plus, the people who rent them for the whole day usually abandon them somewhere when it's closer to dinner time, so you could snag one for free.

Thank you for sharing this in your TR! My husband & I were sooo frustrated so many times last June with Luke's melt downs. I saw some other kids acting up but nothing like what Luke did! A few times, he got out of the seatbelt in his stroller & laid down on the pavement & cried! We were so embarassed & mostly just frustrated! Normally I know when he's hungry or tired or just upset -- but it was frustrating because I had NO idea why he was upset

I think sometimes it can just be overwhelming for the poor little guys!

Your welcome! We ALL have those moments - you are not alone! And it's so frustrating when you are in the "Happiest Place on Earth" and your child is crying on the sidewalk. Why aren't they happy and excited?!?!?! But, I think you are right-its overwhelming, they are off their routine, possibly a bit sleep deprived and over-sugared too!

 I was sooooo hoping you would find your stroller at this point!!!

Thank goodness for wonderful CM's!!!! :thumbsup2

Yes, I was SO thankful for him!!!! He was awesome!

I print out "stroller tags" on 8"x11" card stock with a Disney DISign on them (straight off the DISign Boards here of course!!!) and put our family name on it. Then I get a clear paper protector (the kind that go into a 3 ring binder with the holes on the one side) and put the paper inside. I attach it to our stroller with yarn every morning. I usually take 3-5 of them with me on each trip in case the plastic protector rips (this usually happens when folding up the stroller to put onto the buses). You can see it a mile away!!!! LOL I made them the first year because we were renting a stroller from Disney & I had no idea how we'd find the stroller (since they would all look identical). Our Graco stroller has an odd pattern that I didn't see anyone with on our trip, but I still make the tag because its just so easy to spot! I always use bright colors & a cute Disney design! I think this trip, we'll make some Halloween designs!

We always put a tag on ours too-we have a lime green Mickey head with my name on it, and a luggage tag. I really like your idea of a BIG sign too...::yes::

Michelle! Did I miss something here??? :lmao:

Looks like I need to go over to your PTR & catch up!!!

She is CRUISIN' BABY! (and I'm jealous!)

I love that you posted this!!!! Why? Because I bought my husband bright green luggage for his birthday a few years ago!!! And he looked at me as if I had lost my mind!!! :lmao:

My luggage is bright pink & his is bright green. I saw some bright orange that I will be buying for our son next year! (I've also seen bright aqua & purple.)

Anyway, you are completely right -- you spot it the second it drops at baggage claim! After my husband made fun of me for months about the bright colored luggage, we went to Disney. While we were standing in line waiting to check our luggage, a lady (who had 2 kids with her & her husband) asked me where I bought my luggage. They had navy & black luggage & she said that she really, really wanted something that stuck out. She wanted to be able to spot her luggage! She said that she wished she could find purple & then I told her about the orange, green, aqua, pink, AND purple! She was sooo excited that she told her husband the second they checked their bags, she was getting on the website & buying new bright-colored luggage! She was so excited it would be waiting for her when she got home! Needless to say, her husband didn't look thrilled about her new purchase!

Moving on -- after going through our airport & then MCO, we arrived at our resort. And guess what? My husband told me that it (bright colored luggage) was the BEST thing I could've bought!!!! Now, everytime we're at the airport & anyone comments on our luggage, he immediately tells them how wonderful it is to have & how smart I was to buy it! :lmao:

I just HAD to share that story with you when I saw that you said everyone makes fun of you for it!!! Same here!!! But don't let it bother you, we're the smart ones! :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: LOVE that story!!!! We have the general navy blue luggage, but Joe is super good at spotting it. Since he's color blind he picks up on shades and other small details that set things aside so he memorizes what is what. He has never once grabbed someone elses luggage! But I have!

Happy Mother's Day Brook!!!

And to all the other DIS Moms!!!!

Thank you Hope! I wanted to get on here and say the same to everyone, but wasn't on the computer at all that day!

This reminds me of that beautiful, heart-tugging lullaby from Dumbo, "Baby Mine." So sweet. Now I need to go hug my own sleeping babe.

Happy Mother's Day, Brook, Kat and all DISmoms! :flower3:

Awwwww, that's so sweet. We recently got Dumbo on VHS tape and Henry has really enjoyed it. I need to watch it again! I usually use the time he's watching videos to get something done. LOL

Happy Mothers Day!!!!

Thank you Tim!!

Stormalong Heaven, indeed! So glad you had a nice afternoon there. :goodvibes

I'm relieved there was a happy ending to the stroller cliffhanger. I would have done the same stompstompstomp out of there, sure my husband (if I had one) was a moron. :lmao:

Hurrah for great cast members like Stephen. I encountered one on this last trip who really didn't like his job. He was complaining about having to work late that day... really spoiled the magic!! :sad2:

Sounds like you're off to a good start in the travel biz. How fun to get a vicarious thrill helping a first-timer head to the World.

Happy Mother's Day! :)

I'm so glad so many other women on here told me they would have the same reaction with the stroller ordeal! :rotfl: Usually we ARE right though!!!! ;)

:scared1: about the CM you encountered! He needs a new job!!! Management would never allow something like that if they knew!

The TA work is going great! I am really enjoying every minute. I'm learning a lot and helping people. I also LOVE that I "have to" stay on top of the Disney news. :goodvibes

Thank you!!! I hope you had a great day too!

Am glad you found the stroller in the end! That CM sounds amazing! :thumbsup2

I don't blame Henry for not eating that Mac and Cheese - it doesn't look appetising.

Happy Mother's Day! :)

Doesn't it look awful? It was all gooey and gross. It must have been the bottom of the pan!

Happy Mother's Day, Brook!! Hope you have a sweet day with the two special guys in your life :goodvibes

Thank you! It was a very nice day. We had brunch out after church and then played in the park. A pretty typical Sunday, but they are always my favorite days anyway!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Thank you Tina! And thank goodness I don't have that many little ones...LOL!

Oh wow!!! I really loved your up close look at Storm Along Bay! I have always wanted to stay at the beach Club just for access to this kind of serenity! I showed your photos my kids just now... and I NOW have them on MY SIDE!!! Thanks for sharing... I love the palm tree view above you! A cool look up!:goodvibes

:rotfl2: I'm glad you have the kids on your side! Hopefully that will sway the vote! They will LOVE it! Seriously, it's awesome. And I only showed a very small section of the pool. It's HUGE.

I am always so paranoid about someone taking my stroller thats why I didn't take my Maclaren stroller. Glad you found it though.

Happy Mothers Day!

I get worried about someone taking stuff from our stroller because we always leave jackets and stuff behind...but so far we've been fine. Knock on wood! We never leave anything of true value, but it would be a hassle to get a jacket or something taken.

I know exactly what you mean about getting antsy. If I have a book, it's fine but otherwise, after a bit I get a little stir crazy. Although, I have to admit, I had more in-pool time on this girls trip than on any in recent memory. Maybe because I could just BE in the pool without someone wanting to play, and just float and chat with the girls. Much as I love my husband, he doesn't "chat" while in the pool, that's for the lounger. Go figure.

Flying blankies, I love that! How very stressful about the stroller. So glad it was found and for the wonderful CM!

YES! I think I would enjoy pool time much more with a group of ladies! Floating and chatting - that sound divine! Later in our trip I did take a bit of time to just go off and swim alone-that was very nice (even though I had to get over the guilt of Joe being completely responsible for H at the time. :P)

What a beautiful afternoon at SAB :goodvibes We spent most of our time at the quiet pool but I am sure I will spend more time at SAB in October when I have my niece...although who knows where a 15 year old would rather be?! ;) I love sitting by the pool and think it is almost necessary on those hot FL days

Happy ending to the stroller disapperance :sad2: What a great CM and I am glad that you sent an email and commended him....people like him deserve recognition

I am sure you all had a great time riding on the blankies!! :goodvibes

Tracy

It was a great time at SAB! I don't think I even know where the quiet pool at the Beach Club is... I bet it's really quiet though since most families would be at SAB! That would be kinda nice to chill with a book. I'm going to have to keep that in mind!

I'd got so far behind on your TR but I'm all caught up now and excited to hear more about your very special solo trip that's just around the corner!
And I hope you fit in the GF tea as well, I know how much you'd like to get there for a quiet, relaxing afternoon tea

I'm behind on my own TR! :rotfl2: I have no idea what our plans will end up with on the girlfriends/solo trip....I have too many ideas for too short of a time! I hope to work on my plans some more today-I'm awaiting feedback from Sarah...

Brook - Hope you had a great day

Too funny, strange, weird about the stroller. I too, would have stomp stomp stomp out to do it myself.

Like MeMom vidoe was have been entertaining. I can only imagine, going out there while Wishes is going off looking everywhere for a stroller only to have it appear mysteriously later. :sad2:

Only to have to go back and eat cold food. I hope the rest of your night makes up for the meal.

Thank you! I hope you had a great one too!!!

The stroller episode was an ordeal! I was a bit upset because I couldn't enjoy Wishes even a little bit due to my panicking. :headache: But now, looking back - the video would have been funny!!!!

Wow 2 updates!!

Love the new mugs. I may get one when we are there in 2 weeks!!:goodvibes

Henry looks so cute digging in the sand. I just love SAB. I was there every afternoon during our trip last year. I was not sure I would like the sand in the pool but boy did I get used to it real fast. Yes they come & offer you food & drinks while you are lounging. Isn't that great?? I am not used to that.:rotfl:

I have a hard time trying to relax also. I did bring a book though & read a little. I also met a nice couple on our last day & spent about 2 hours talking to the mom.

I don't know how you all find your strollers. I see all of them lined up & I just shake my head & glad that I am out of that stage. I don't know how you all do it.

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day Brook.

You still need to PM me your cell #. I am still planning on MK on the 28th.

I really enjoyed the sand bottom too! Is it everywhere in the pool, or just that section?

It's NOT an easy task to find the stroller sometimes! It's such a pain. If the CMs didn't move them it would be easier. I get why they do, but...:headache: I've only had a couple times when it was really hard to find. The worst attractions are Fantasmic and the Safari at AK. They each have little sections for the strollers and you might leave it in one, but it ends up in a different one! Ugh!

I am so sorry about not PMing yet! I haven't read/done anything with them in WEEKS. I have a ton of them in there too. :rolleyes1

Brooke, I am playing catch up...again! I hope you have ENJOYED your day!!!

Thank you! I hope you did as well!!! And I'm playing catch-up on my own TR, so no worries. LOL!

Hi Brooke :wave2: Hope your having a good day. I'm going to email you later about my trip. More to add.

:dance3: Watch for me!!! I'll post my plans here too before I go so we can see if we match up anywhere. I still don't have them all figured out yet...!

Definatly!!!I will be the one pushing the blue Maclaren stroller with the bright green bandanna tied ti the handle. You know, just in case.:lmao:

Glad that you found the stroller.

Looks like we are going to be on the same cruise next year. We were booked for the 5-night to Canada in July. The 8-night was really calling my name so I made the switch yesterday to the 6/2/12 cruise. I am excited about the 4 at-sea days, Castaway Cay and a day at the parks! I have never been to the parks in June though so I am hoping that I will be able to handle the heat - just one day though - I can tough it out. Also with it being the beginning of June, many schools are still in session so hopefully it will not be too crowded.

Hi, I've just read your trip report up to this point :goodvibes I love it. I was so happy to read that you found your stroller :thumbsup2

Still reading Brook!!! :surfweb:

I'll make this short & sweet.

It looks like Henry had a ball at the pool/beach at Stormalong Bay!

Usually in Fantasyland, the strollers get moved in front of Philharmagic... I wonder how your stroller was just left in a walkway? You think someone thought it was theirs, realized it, then just left it? WEIRD. :confused3

Yep-that's just where it was, in front of Philharmagic-but in the walkway area instead of with the other strollers. It was VERY weird! I am guessing someone thought it was theirs before the fireworks, then realized it wasn't, and the crowd was too thick for them to push it back over...who knows! :confused3

Brook - Look down. TICKER and PTR !:yay: :cool1:  Thanks for your help!:)

Your welcome! I was just over there, caught up and left you a really long comment. I'm well rested and caffeinated today...all the words are pouring out!

Pinocchio's Village Haus looks very neat. Not the best looking food but the atmosphere sure looks cool! I would have absolutely died if I couldn't find my Maclaren. I love, love my stroller. So much that though my kiddos are older, I still don't want to to part with it so in my garage it sits. :rolleyes1 I'm glad yours turned up!!

It really is a very cute restaurant! The murals on the walls are beautiful. We were in there later in the trip too and I noticed some of the details.

That's SO funny about your stroller! :lmao: It is an awesome stroller though, I agree! Ours is used almost every single day here-it's getting so worn out! But I love it. Lightweight, compact, yet sturdy. It's worth every penny.

That is too funny Kelli!! Maybe you are hanging onto it just in case there is a child #5 in your future...... :rolleyes1

Brook, hope you had a marvelous Mother's Day with that adorable little redhead of yours!

:lmao: And yes! We did have a great day, thank you! I hope yours was great too!

Oh Michelle!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao: You jokester!!!! Um, no!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

The stroller went missing! OH NO!

I am going on my first trip ever with a little one (and therefore my first trip with a stroller) and this is my biggest fear!!:scared1:

It has only happened to us twice where we couldn't find the stroller. The first time we thought we had ours, but it was just someone who had the exact stroller as ours! We brought it up to the front of the park and while we were figuring out what to do with lost and found, the family who had ours rolled up! The timing was perfect, we laughed and swapped the strollers back. Whew! This time I was more nervous because we didn't even have one to put H in at all! The CMs are GREAT with helping you find it though--don't worry! The worst places are Fantasmic, the AK Safari and Fantasyland.

What a great update of PANIC and relief!!

The flying BLANKIES??!! :lmao::lmao: Hilarious!

Isn't that cute??

The Flying Blankies! :rotfl2: I love that! :worship: I will always remember that now.

All caught up. Glad you loved SAB. That place was pretty cool even though I spent most of my time at the quiet pool where blender drinks are less noticeable. ;)

I am so glad you found your stroller. How annoying! But better to find it at the beginning of the meal then searching for it at the end.

OK - let's see some pictures of those flying blankies!

I think they will be called the Flying Blankies for quite a long time in our family as well! LOL

I think for a girls trip the quiet pool works better -it's quiet! You can chat! :cloud9:

The Flying Blankies should be coming up today!!!

Hi Brook!

I am pathetically behind on your trip report but just wanted to stop in and say hi. From what I've read so far it sounds like you had a great trip :goodvibes I promise to try and catch up soon!

Life has been a little busy -- I just got back a couple weeks ago from the ABD Backstage Magic tour with the podcast crew. What an amazing trip! As a fellow Disney lover, I'm sure you too would have enjoyed all that we did. The backstage experiences were truly once in a lifetime! And it was wonderful traveling with folks from the podcast as well as other Disney fanatics :thumbsup2

Plus I am starting a new job next Monday :cool1: So things have been a little crazy. But 2 weeks after I start my new job I am headed to the World! Gotta love vacations planned before you take a new job!

I know you are also going soon and I am pretty sure we are there the same dates -- I'll be at Kidani from 5/28-6/2. I would love to meet up if our dates overlap so let me know.

Hey there! I so understand - life has been busy here too. I haven't even finished our first full day yet.

Oh WOW! That ABD trip sounds amazing! And to take it with fellow Disney fanatics would be the BEST! Are you going to write a TR about it?

Congratulations on the new job!!!! And YES! our dates do overlap! I will be there 5/28-6/1. I haven't figured out all our plans yet, but I will post them here! I'd love to meet up! The only thing I know for sure right now is that I'll be solo at MK on 6/1 before my ME, which won't be until about 4:00.

Forgot to say hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!! :goodvibes

Thank you!!!

Look at your ticker girl!!! You are so close...and I'm right behind you!!!
Cant wait to read more :goodvibes

I cannot believe how quickly time has flown by lately. This trip is going to be on top of me before I know it! :woohoo:

I agree with you! The bigger CS' are better. Joe is a pizza man - even if it's only meh tasting, he'll gobble it! I really want to try Tortuga Tavern this coming trip too.

Henry has grown up so much, hasn't he?!?! It's craZy! And yes, that haircut definitely has changed his look. I'm always hesitant to get his hair cut because I know it does that to him. Sigh. :)

I hope they recognize him somehow too! I really do make it a point to grab the names of CMs that go above and beyond or are extra kind. They make the trip memorable!

I just cannot believe I'm going back to WDW so soon! Ahhhhhh! I CANNOT WAIT! The other night I was looking up info and pics on All Star Movies and it got me so excited! Those 4 days are going to fly right by though!

Brook, I am going to send you a FB message....I might be joining you soon. :)

I would have had a hard time with a lost stroller, too - yikes!!! Glad it was found. :)

:wizard: on the career! Something will work out!

N00b here, read every page! Just waiting for more!

:welcome: Thank you for reading! I hope to get the next update done TODAY!

Hi Brooke :wave2: Hope your having a good day. I'm going to email you later about my trip. More to add.

Henry is at a play date today, so Momma has been sipping coffee in the quiet house, catching up on the DIS (at least trying) and working! :thumbsup2 It's been soooooo very nice. Sounds good about the email, I look forward to it!

Definatly!!!I will be the one pushing the blue Maclaren stroller with the bright green bandanna tied ti the handle. You know, just in case.:lmao:

I will keep watch for you! I am putting all the DISers in my notes too-I just need to figure out when/if our paths will cross! I usually have a lime green Mickey Head on me, but I'm not sure I will this time...I'm going to attempt to be BAG FREE :dance3: if I can...ooh, maybe on my lanyard. Yes, that will work! If I do have a bag, it will be my lime green baggalini, with a Mickey Head on it too.

YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3: We will have to have a DIS meet for sure!!!! We almost booked the 5-night to Canada in July too, but...we wanted the tropical climate. And Castaway Cay. And the day in WDW. It will be SO awesome! I'm a tad nervous about the heat as well-even for my upcoming girlfriends/solo trip...but like you said, it's just one day-we can do it! I've already started devising our plan of attack on the parks for that day. :rolleyes1

I just cannot wait to cruise. I keep hoping that for some crazy reason we get to go before June 2012 too. LOL! Just reading your TR and a few others on the cruises has me so, so excited!

Did you see the Hawaiian cruise? That's my dream!

Hi, I've just read your trip report up to this point :goodvibes I love it. I was so happy to read that you found your stroller :thumbsup2

:welcome: Thank you for reading! I should have more up later today!

The attic.. well near the condiment bar there's a little staircase. It's small up there. There's maybe 6 tables?

It was a great time at SAB! I don't think I even know where the quiet pool at the Beach Club is... I bet it's really quiet though since most families would be at SAB! That would be kinda nice to chill with a book. I'm going to have to keep that in mind!!

Well there are two, one for the hotel and one for the villas. We were at the villa one most of the time and much as I love the YC, the villa quiet pool beat it hands down, just a really really lovely setting! I don't like the location of the BC hotel quiet pool as much and the YC one was just meh for us, for some totally unrelated reasons to setting (other people that were there, overly warm water, etc).

Plus....you are less likely to get yelled at for drinking in the pool at the villa pool.

Not that any of us did that.

:rotfl:
