Not sure if this is "marriage" advice per se, but I was formerly married to a builder, and whenever he finished a house we would give the clients a basket with bread, salt, and wine, and I would make a card with a note of congratulations as well as thank you, and the lines from "It's a Wonderful Life":
Bread - that this house may never know hunger.
Salt - that life may always have flavor.
Wine - that joy and prosperity may reign forever.
Although I have to say, "argue naked" is much more practical advice.![]()
