We are thinking of trying out Marrakesh for something different. Those who have been, do you get more entertainment (bellydancing) going at dinner time rather than lunch? And is there a better timing? I think I read that they start at the top of each hour, is that correct?

Thank you for any information.

I'm bumping this up hoping someone will read and know the answer. I'm just curious if we wanted to go to enjoy the entertainment - is it better to go for dinner than lunch? Or are they equally entertaining?

Thanks for any input.

I was there last December for dinner about 1.5 hrs before close. It was not a great experience. There was no entertainment, service wasn't great, food wasn't great. We weren't even expecting much, and were disappointed. Maybe we were there on an off night? As much as I'd like to give it another try, I think there are too many other good places to eat in World Showcase.

We were there for lunch last week at opening (12pm, I believe). The restaurant was DEAD. Finally a few other people trickled in and the entertainment - two guys playing instruments- started right as we were leaving.

The food was really yummy though!

thank you both for responding. I guess if we want to give it a try - see if it is for us - I should not go when it first opens, or about to close. :)

thank you again.

We've been at all different times for lunch and dinner. I'm pretty sure the entertainment starts at the top of the hour or at least it did in December. Both meals are good. Ask them to seat you near the dance floor so you're close to the action. Also differently try the jasmine ice tea and save room for the dessert bastilla.

I have had lunch at Marrakesh. We ate around 2:30pm, and there were only about 10 other tables that were full. I had never had that type of food before and didn't know what to expect, but the food was delicious! We loved it. The bellydancer did come out to dance on the hour, and did a great job of getting the small crowd into it.

Thank you both for the good review! I will put it on our list & try for reservations close to the hour to not miss the dancing. I think our DDs would enjoy the entertainment - especially if asked to dance. They do tap & ballet, so bellydancing would be a new experience for them.

Thank you so very much Daisy112878 & Kimberly815!
