Marrakesh opinions please

I just booked it yesterday myself. Cancelled Alfredo's in place of it. We can have Italian anytime, and Alfredo's isn't the best by any means.

This will be something new and exciting to try.

We eat a lot of Middle Eastern/North African/Central Asian food, and found the food to be a little tame compared to what we're used to. We like it though, especially the atmosphere. Most of the places we eat in at home are lacking in atmosphere. I do agree with another poster- they use a lot of cinnamon which gives the food a very unique taste. We like it though.

Have a good trip!

The first time we ate here was a bad day for us (we lost our video camera and spent our dinner crying over the possible loss of footage of DD's first trip to WDW - it turned up at the lost-and-found after a few hours, though - whew!) so we couldn't really enjoy the meal, although I remember the food being tasty. I ate there with my parents (DH and his folks went to Alfredo's instead) in 2003 and we all enjoyed ourselves. On our most recent trip in May, DH was reluctant to try Marrakesh again, but I convinced him he'd enjoy himself this time, and happily he did.

I agree that the food is not adventurous, if that's what you're after, but it is very good (the lemon chicken was not lemony enough in 2003, but I had no other complaints), the Iced Moroccan Mint Tea is delicious and refreshing, and the CM's and ambience are wonderful! To the poster who asked, yes, the band and belly dancer are there every night and perform periodically throughout the evening.
