Made ADR for Marrakesh for Dec 12. Now having second thoughts. :confused3 Your opinions are needed!!!

Thanks,
Paula

Don't have second thoughts! I tried Marrakesh at the beginning of May and loved it. The atmosphere is amazing, the musicians and belly dancer are wonderful and the staff is warm and polite. The food is fantastic as well- they have lamb and couscous, etc, but also less adventurous dishes like beef kababs and mint ice cream for dessert. Loved it! :thumbsup2

We just ate at Marrakesh during our last trip. The food is good, if you like Moroccan food. I still ate the chicken plate and my friends tried the lamb :crazy2: (I just don't care for lamb) Drinks were excellent, service was fast and courteous. We arrived about half an hour early and they took us to our table right away. The atmosphere was beautiful and the entertainment was great. The only reason we chose to eat at Marrakesh because its food we just can't get anywhere, like Chinese or Mexican food. So why not try it at WDW? I am glad we chose to try Marrakesh and I can officially say I have had Moroccan food. :)

loved it! and loved the entertainment (belly dancing and live music).... made reservations again for this august and i'm really looking forward to it.

We ate there in May and loved it. We love eating exotic food. The staff was great! Go for it! :thumbsup2

Do they always have the musicians & belly dancer? DH and I are considering trying to get a dinner ADR here (or LeCellier) for our "Night Out without the kids".

:thumbsup2 We always eat at Marrakesh every time we travel to the world. I have a teenage daughter and her friend who always request to eat their. They have an addiction for the Chicken Bastilla.....yummy!

We love Marrakesh! Get the pastry sampler for dessert, it's to die for!!

I'm so glad to hear these good reviews. :cool1:
DH and I have an ADR for September and are really looking forward to it.

I had ADR for last Aug at Marrakesh and I let my kids talk me out of it..I wish I hadnt..My son saw the menu on allears so we ended up at Teppenyaki which was horrible. This trip I have some ppl going that arent adventurous eaters at all so I know I cant go. oh well might have missed my chance for awhile..lol So dont second guess yourself like Mariaposa said..

Marrakesh both delighted and dissapointed us. Atmosphere/entertainment were great. Food was not great - bland lamb, dry chicken. If we could do it again we would go but order safer (i.e., K-bobs).

I went December a year ago. The atmosphere is great, more quiet than the parks and the entertainment was good as well. While I am a self proclaimed "foodie" (I produce and market organic meat for a living) I found everything there to be very well prepared--just not my taste in food. If you are willing to try it, I would say "GO FOR IT!" Service was quite good. _I_ just don't care for sweeter spices such as cinnamon with meat, but everything was well prepared, not overcooked and not overly spicey.

Just so you know, K-bobs aren't safer. The chicken on my wife's Kabobs was as dry as could be and the sauce was nothing but watered down tomato sauce. No spice.

To the OP. If you like Bland, meat and 3 quality food at $25-$35 a shot, this place is for you.

I had the beef kebabs in May and found them to be perfectly prepared. They weren't dry in the least, they were incredibly flavorful and the sauce was wonderful. (Just to give a different take.) Every restaurant has off nights, and honestly, even if the food hadn't been fantastic a return trip would still be a must for me- the atmosphere and entertainment would be worth giving it another shot.

We think this restaurant is great and enjoy eating there on each trip. It will be a must again on our next trip! :)

To all that replied,Thank-you!!!:) Think we'll stick with it,and if we don't like it,then we just won't go back!

One of my personal faves! I always think people should try something at least once, go for it!

I'm with you on this one. We did it last December as part of the candlelight processional package. Although the atmosphere and entertainment were really nice, the food to us was rather bland. We are both adventurous eaters, and there was nothing adventurous about the dishes we were served that evening. I would, however, be willing to give them another shot. pirate:

I am trying this place out next month for the first time. I'm trying to get out of that "eat at the same places" rut. :)
