A very close family friend would like to take himself and his brother on a 4 night fishing trip to Florida in November.
He asked me to help him plan the trip.
I can help with with air/car rental/hotel stuff but have no idea what part of Florida would be the best for fishing in November. I am hoping somewhere near where SWA flies into.

To those who know about fishing in Florida:
Can you reccommend an area which would offer great fishing in November?
Also need info. on how to get hooked up with a fishing charter in that area.
thank you
Suzy V

I know nothing about fishing so I'll just bump this back to page one for you. Hopefully someone can offer advice.

november isn't a great time for marlin fishing in FLA. but if he has 4 nights to devote to it, your best bet is probably out of the Keys. a good captain will be able to put him in the best place to try. does it have to be marlin, or is he open to other fish?

not to mention, private charters are around 1K per day for serious blue water fishing. party boats don't go out after the big trophy fish. you'll need a private charter. the 'average' for a marlin hook-up is one per every 8 hours you fish or them. but when you do......

Thank you for the info. He has decided to perhaps look at the Bahamas or Mexico since the keys are his only real option in Fl. He is aware of the cost of chartering a fishing boat and he doesn't seem to have issues about the $.
Can anyone tell me anything about marlin (or similar type of fishing) in the Bahamas or Mexico?
Are there any area that would be better then others?
Also, can anyone put us onto a reputable charter fishing company? Or even a board similar to DIS for this type of fishing in the bahamas or Mexico?
Thank you
Suzy V.

even in the bahamas marlin and sailfish fishing is dead in november. they migrate away from our area. not sure about the Yucatan P in Mexico. in this area, all you're sure to catch is 'cuda or wahoo in november. the best time for marlin in the bahamas is the dead of summer.

Thank you so much for the info. I will pass it along to my friend.

Thanks again for the info. I have organized a fishing trip to P. Vallarta, Mexico in early Novemebr for my friend.
