Market Specific Dings

I think SWA is trying to fight the DING History like we have on the DIS by segregating DING by markets. Has anyone else signed up to receive DINGS only for their specific airports of interest (for me, that would be CMH and MCO)? I scrolled through the DING history for the last few days on the DIS and noticed there was at least one CMH to MCO DING that I got which was not posted here.......

I only get BHM Dings. THere is a way to change your registration to get more DINGs, but I don't think I really need more then the nearest airport (and that's over 2 hours away!)

I have also noticed that DINGS are now specifying particular Flight #'s

What's up with that?

Before SWA allowed you to watch 10 cities, I checked four cities for Dings routinely (meaning hundreds of times daily ). There was a spell as you probably seen on the history thread where they offered lots of targeted Dings that you had have the specific city or you did not see them. I still check several cities for Dings, but the ability to have 10 cities has made that a lot more easier.

If you see dings not listed, we encourage you to post them with a note of how you think you got your ding. I have 10 cities in my ding on my laptop and 10 different cities on my desktop. These dings have been pretty consistent, what I have seen is the Dings are much more specific to day, time, flight #.

MOST of the time, Dings are just airport-specific. There are occasions, however, when Southwest apparently finds they have a number of seats available on one or two particular flights between two locations.
I've gotten two one-flight-only Dings since I signed up; the rest have been for 'my' airports in general
