Effective today, through December 27, Market Baskets in New England are giving customers a 4% discount on all non-government-regulated (so no beer, wine, milk, lottery tickets, cigarettes...and gift cards) purchases. It's to thank us for making them the number one, or favorite - I forget and it's just been a couple of hours - supermarket chain in New England. No loyalty card, and their low prices continue. Although the cottage cheese did go up ten cents...

Antway, happy shopping!

That's great! I shop occasionally at Market Basket in Swanzey, NH, but will make more of an effort to get there.

I glanced at the flyer and thought it was for just this week! Was wondering if it the prices will be drifting up but they take the discount at the register to make me feel good... Time will tell! They definitely have consistently had the lowest prices in town the past few years.

was thrilled to see this on the front of the flyer, I shop at Market Basket every week.

I love MB, when I first looked at the flyer I thought it was an old flyer with a December 2013 and was so excited to see that it was actually December 2014:cool1:

I think it's great! I tried to go food shopping Friday, but my ride never showed up so I rescheduled for today. I was in the store when they were hanging the discount sign in the window, then someone came on the PA system to announce everything. Didn't se the flyer until I got home :).

That's great!! Closest MB to me is 40 minutes away so I go there about once a month and load up.

I wish whatever the dispute the company has would end. They build a new store a few miles from me that I guess can't open until the dispute ends.

My parents did their monthly trip to Oxford, MA yesterday not knowing about the discount- the store was mobbed! Check out lines extended into the food aisles! :faint:

Excited about this as I shop exclusively at MB. As a PP poster pointed out, I sure hope this doesn't offset a potential rise is pricing moving into the new year.

I sure hope the prices don't go up, I doubt they will. I saved a whopping $1.71 yesterday. :cool1: I guess it will add up over time.

We have pretty good prices up here to start. Last time I was at WDW the Publix price for a gallon of cheap milk was like $3.50 or so. Our milk is $2.49

Just waiting for the the one in South Attleboro to finally open ....
Many folks in the area are looking forward to it.
