Marine Corps Birthday Ball

My daughter just left for the Marine Corps Birthday Ball with her Marine. Such a cute couple! They were supposed to go last year but he was in Iraq. Is anyone else going?

Last yr my brother was waiting for his MOS to start, he was on a working crew and he cleaned up after a ball. He sent my boys home some little USMC & US flags w/ holders, they were the centerpieces and they were told to take them or toss them.

This yr, he's in Iraq.

I doubt he'll ever get to take his girl, since she's going to school here on the East Coast and his PDS is on the West Coast.

excuse me for peeking in.. but when I saw Marine Corp Ball.. well I just had to chime in...

We went to many, many Marine Corps balls during my husbands time in the Corps.. It was the event of the year. I have so many awesome, outstanding memories of the Balls at Camp Pendleton, Twentynine Palms and Kanehoe.. all different, all fabulous!

To those attending.. Have a grand time celebrating a grand tradition!

This is our first year in a long time not going. My dh just retired. I'm thinking aout doing something special for him though.

My brother and sister n law attended this weekend and they had a wonderful time. He leaves in March for Iraq.My sil said his commanding officer was wonderful and spoke with every wife or girlfriend in his unit about the ball and what to expect while the men are gone. My brother in in the reserves.

Hope eveyrone had a wonderful time.

This was the first year we haven't been to the ball in a long time. The last one we missed was in 97 when he was on a med float.
