TOM arrived for me today too..... I have to admit that I did sleep about 3 hours this afternoon. TOM can really wreck havoc on our bodies. Hope you're feeling better soon, Marie!:grouphug:

TOM is better today...thanks for the sympathy yesterday...I really wanted a bullet by the time i got home! :headache:

so today-
B-jc fruit & granola cereal
s-anytime bar
l-jc beef chow mein
s-peanut butter bar - yuck
d-jc chicken fettuccine...(was supposed to be last nights dinner, but swaped it out for turkey chili tonight...same calories)
water-60 oz
exercise-none....23 degrees outside today...and DH has wood/sawdust all over my gym area (trim work for the bathrooms. He's finishing that up tonight, so it shouldn't be an issue after tonight.)

Ok...so I went to Barnes & Noble today on my lunch hour....bought the one and only copy they had of MARATHONING FOR MORTALS. I'm going to get back into running....and I'm going to do it the right way. There are a few 5k's and a half marathon coming up here this spring....i'd like to sign up for them...see what happens. (i.e=will i survive??)

Great job with the food today!

I'm liking MfM so far. Let me know what you think!! Don't jump in to the 1/2 marathon too soon. Definitely build up slowly (I learned that so far in the book! ;) ).

That's great to have a goal for yourself. I guess I am just too lazy to ever do a marathon. It doesn't interest me whatsoever! I have a treadmill interval workout from Fitness mag that I am trying to build up to, but that is about the extent of my running ambition... You can do whatever you set your mind to, I know it! :thumbsup2

Hey guys.....been pretty busy here at the house...:upsidedow
Ok..so food yesterday...

B-triple grain crisps
L-meatball sandwich (not really meatballs, but meat "stuff") it was really good!
S-sour dough bites (love these things!!)
D-Sweet & sour chicken :sad2: (tossed most of it)
Water-64 oz
Exercise-2 mile walk/run - 30 min total (5 min 1/2 mile run)
It was 38 degrees last night when we went running...when I started running and my legs were really weak. DH said the same thing about his. I don't know if it was from taking a few days off, or from the cold. :confused3 Either way it was a tough run, but I did it! Oh, also cleaned the house, swept, dusted & cleaned up my office area. (sat down at 9:15, fell asleep at 9:30)

So, today's food -
B-an orange (didn't have time to eat the cereal)
s-anytime bar
l-Broccoli & cheese stuffed potato :thumbsup2 (and again, i don't like broccoli!)
D-lasagna
s-lemon cake :cloud9:
Water-56 oz
Exercise-bought new light fixtures for bathroom, moved all of DS bedroom furniture out of his room, or to the center of the room so it can be painted tomorrow, put spare bathroom back together, hung shower curtain & rod, cleaned tub and sink & swept. (does any of that count?)

I got up at 6 this morning and folded about 1600 load of laundry...and put them away! I feel really unorganized right now....the back of the house is in total disarray....Jason is going to try to be done painting (& stuff) by sunday....with this list of projects....the carpet guy is supposed to call with an estimate tomorrow....but won't be able to do the carpet for a few more weeks. I WANT IT NOW!! I bought a new comforter set....i don't know if i like it or not. i need help. i want a drink.....REALLY BAD!!! I don't feel like i've lost any weight yet either.
Ok....i think i'm done complaining for now. just a little overwhelmed i guess. :confused3 :headache:

i hope you all are doing great this week. I haven't had a chance to catch up on anyone's journals....I'll try to do that on saturday night.

I'm sure you are doing just fine, you aren't cheating with your JC food, so you have to have faith! Just out of curiosity, do they adjust your meals as you lose weight? As your body gets lighter it uses less calories, I know WW gives you less points as you lose, I was just wondering how JC deals with it.

Great job getting that run in. I was also beat at my exercise class last night, must have been something in the air!
 
Sounds like you are doing a great job getting everything done. When you are done getting your house put together, can you come over here and work on mine? Like Amy said, have faith. You are sticking to your JC and you are exercising (even when it is cold!). Don't worry about getting to other journals. First and foremost, track your own journal here. You are, as always, one busy lady!

Your food looks GREAT. You're sticking to plan, and when you can't eat what's on the plan, you're doing really great substituting with heathly food! :thumbsup2

Oh, and great job running in the cold!!! Your tired legs were probably from a combo of the cold and starting back after a mini-break. If that's what yours feel like after 3 days...imagine what mine are feeling like after a 3 week break?!?!?:rotfl:

The house is coming together nicely....hopefully we'll be done this weekend. He finished up my bathroom and did DS room today. Tomorrow he's doing my bedroom, and I think the trim in all the rooms he just did painted.
I'm in a bit of a bad mood on the whole carpet issue....the quote came back quite a bit higher than i expected....so it's gonna have to wait a while.:sad1:

ok..so weigh in is tomorrow at 8:30. I'm not expecting much. I weighed myself on my scale here at home this morning, and it looks like i've gained a pound. if i gain, it's my own fault. my exercise hasn't been where it should be, and i know it.
Pass the pixie dust...i may need it!

You seem to be doing great lately--your food choices look good!
I am sending some good thoughts for your weighin tomorrow--i hope it will be better than you expect, but remember its not all about the number on the scale--keep with it and you will see/feel some improvements!

I am so happy today guys!!! I'm at 159.4!!! (i think it was .4....i was just so excited about the 159 that i didn't care about the . !) Ok...so my food for next week looks really good, alot of the same stuff, but it's all good. I told Peggy, (my counselor) what i didn't like, and we did a substitution here and there. I know I have to kick up the exercise this week...and as excited as I am about being in the 150's, I will be doing more than I did this past week. I HAVE GOT to get Bob back in action. It's gonna hurt, but I know I have to bite the Bob Bullet and just do it!
(damn I'm in a good mood!!!)

Ok...DS and I are going to go clean the van, then get busy on the house. DH is switching out electrical stuff...light switches and outlets....we bought new flat panel looking ones....i'll post a picture later. I'm really, REALLY loving my house right now! Hell, I'm loving everything today!!!

Oh, and I had to go to Sams to get some stuff, and I treated myself to 2 bunches of Gerber Daisy's...my favorite! (it's like 20 flowers) They are in a vase on my table....reminding me that I'm worth everything I've been doing! How's that for being vain today??!

Today has been a good day....I didn't get NEARLY as much done as I wanted to, but hey....I LOST 3 POUNDS!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
The painter showed up at 3.....painted one coat on my bedroom.....missed a few spots....and called it a day. I'd rather he not have shown up at all. If you're gonna do a job half@$$ed, then don't do it. DH said he probably had a late night....then take the day off...I didn't TELL him he HAD to work today! Anyway, he's supposed to do the trim in all the rooms tomorrow. DH is gonna show him his "spots". I really can't complain too much....he's doing a good job otherwise, and pretty cheap too!!!
Oh, and I went and priced some carpet & laminate flooring today...no decision is gonna be made for a few weeks. Gotta get the funds built back up. :rolleyes1
