Marid Gras Parades on Fri Nights?

I was reading some historical threads and there were references to Mardi Gras parades on Friday nights? Do they still do this? I thought it was only on Saturday night. We'll be there next weeekend. I'd love to go the "slower" night.

It used to be on several nights, but this year is drastically cut back on number of weeks and restricted to one day.

I wouldn't want to be DM right now from what I understand. I heard his schedule from yesterday and today.
