Marge Schott dies.

My maternal grandmother's maiden name was Schott, I always kinda wondered if they might have been related...

She was a feisty one, sad to hear of her passing.

I was listening to the Dan Patrick show on ESPN radio about a month ago when she called in to wish Rob Dibble (the co-host, former Reds pitcher) a happy birthday. They talked for about ten minutes and she sounded like a really nice person. Maybe the past few years and losing the Reds mellowed her a bit.

Yes she was, I am a big baseball fan (Red Sox) and we are losing all of our characters of the game. Of course the game now is all about business, but I miss the Mark "the bird' Fridrich, Oil can Boyd, George "Boomer' Scott and the list goes on and on. When the last few go it will be just a business.
