I've read mixed reviews about Margaritaville, but we really want to check it out when we go in August. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is very good there, or anything that is just not that good at all??:D

The Cheeseburger in Paradise is pretty good. I also had the Pulled Pork Sandwich which was good, but not as good as a burger! :)

Hubby likes the conch chowder, we have given the cheeseburger in paradise several chances and we have found it to be a mediocre burger at best. What we do love is the volcano nachos, shrimp appetizer and having a few drinks...either inside or outside and enjoying the atmosphere, music and doing a little people watching from the deck. It is a fun place...they just need to do something about the food. Very bland.

I was not blown away with this place at all, if I had it to do over would go to HR Cafe and skip this place. I too had the cheeseburger and it wasn't from paradise. I guess what I didn't like about this place too was the lack of like personal effects of Mr. Buffet like his records, memorabilia, etc. We ate at Planet Holywood over by DD and the food and memeorabilia were terififc. I would not do margaritaville again, but would try another one of the restaurants...just my opinion....

OK, honest oppion from DH on Margaritaville......Stay away!!!! LOL We were there a few weeks ago. I had the cheeseburger in paradise and it was edible. Nothing spectacular, but edible.

DH had the surf and turf. It was a steak and 3 blackened shrimp. He could not eat it! (and he eats my cooking ;)) He is a kitchen manager that puts a lot of pride into his work. He works the grill/broiler because if something goes out not up to par, it is his fault and he is the one to go out into the dinning room and talk to the customer. (like I said, he puts a lot of pride into his work) He might be more picky than the average person for this reason, but he said the steak was terrible and the shrimp was not deviened. He only ate part of it and felt bad the rest of the night. It was supposed to be cooked to m/rare, but it was m/well, and he won't eat shrimp that has not been deviened. My burger was supposed to be medium, but came out m/well, also. He said that the person running the broiler must not know what they are doing.

We sat at the first bar inside of the door while we waited for our table. The empoyees were very rapped with each other. The bartender said very little to us, but had time to joke with his coworkers. I felt like there was a glass wall between us. The server was very good, though.

Agree with your post the baloon animal guy left us high and dry after waiting fo rhim to get to our table to flirt with some underage teenage girls, thought it was downright rude, I love Jimmy B but he should be ashamed of this place as it is run. this was the only sort of half bad thing we ran into, went back to HR and had hot cookies, yum...

I've eaten @ Margaritaville and the food was nothing spectacular so don't expect to be wowed by it. If you have little kids or if you are a fan of Jimmy Buffet the place should be pretty cool. Theyv'e got this volcano that erupts with Margarita every so often. Just a warning though: when I went there it was very loud, just the music and everyone talking. IMHO a better place to eat @ citywalk would be HRC or The Latin Quarter.

I loved Margaritaville!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Fajitas and margaritas were excellent!!!! It was my favorite restaurant at both parks!!!!!

We loved it too! Had a very funny bartender and our food was great. I had Coconut Shrimp, DH a Cheeseburger and DD a quesadilla.

Margaritas were great

We loved it on our trip. I had the conch fritters, DS had the fajitas, DD the chicken fingers kids meal and D?H I think had a chicken sandwich. All the food was very good. The band was great. It was loud . The noise botherd DD but DS would of listened to the band all night.

We ate there twice and loved it. I had the vegi burger which was nice and DB/f had the Hawian Chicken which he really liked, one of the times we had a dessert which was huge.

We would eat there again

We also ate there twice. The mango margarita's alone are worth a stop there! DH had "burger in paradise":OK; Nachos: huge, more than 2 could eat for a meal. I had the veggie burger, it was good (a little cool). We thought it was a fun place to eat but it did seem to take awhile to get your food.

I found the conch chowder and the fresh seafood specials the best bet.

The Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding dessert, however, is worth a visit in itself.

DH and DS, DD their last August. We loved it. Servers friendly and fast service. IMO food was okay. I had nachos and DH had burger. Kids had kids meals which I cannot remember what they were but they did not complain.

My biggest compliment was the margarittas. They were the best we have ever had. I kinda wished kids were not there and hubby and I could sit by the bar all afternoon and enjoy the sights. We are defintely going back this Aug. Can't wait. Aug. 13-16th HRH here we come.

I guess the concierge at the HR spoiled us, its hard to go from free beer to $3.50, after all it was in the same bottle, etc. Oh yeah we dominoed one night, it placed higher than margaritaville, we had free drinks at HR so it was probably the cheapest meal we ate, and more cookies foir dessert, have I mentioned I miss the cookies enough times...
