We left early (6:34 am) Sunday morning and drove up from south Florida. We only stopped twice briefly . Got off the turnpike exit at I-4 at 9:34am-exactly three hours to the minute! Got to Downtown Disney and the Festival of the Masters was going on, so it was pretty crowded-mostly with art booths. I really can't recommend going to DD during this if you don't care about seeing the art. The booths kind of blocked everything , so you couldn't get a really good look at what DD would look like otherwise. We stopped first at the Lego Store and let DS play for a while. It was hard, but we finally dragged him away and went into the store where we got out with only two packs of legos(Star Wars figures). Went to World of Disney and bought our autograph book and pen, a watch for DH, minnie ears for me, and my first pin!Yeah!DS then played in the playgorund and rode the train. I spotted the hair wrapping , so while DH took DS to ride the carousel I got my hair wrapped for $32!!! I had them do one of my longer pieces and had a little headache for the next two days! It was still early (around 11:30) , but we were starving, so we had lunch at Wolfgang Puck Cafe. DH had a sandwich, DS had cheese pizza, and I had the Butternut Squash soup, which was delicious as usual! We had to wait a little, but the food was very good. Did I mention the perfect weather we had??? It was sunny and cool-an absolutely beautiful day! After lunch we decided to go check in to our resort It was getting more crowded and a little warmer. We had requested early check- in , but it still took an hour to get our room. I will post a more in depth review of the Courtyard on the Resorts board, but all in all it was fine. The common areas were nicer than the rooms, but it was still nice. We had a tower room on the 8th floor, overlooking the pool area, DD, and at night we could see Illuminations from our balcony.

After getting settled in our room and resting, we decided to get ready to go to Epcot, as we had a PS (priority seating) at the Garden Grill at 5:40.
I hadn't been to Epcot since I was a teenager, and this was DH and DS's first time. WE love Epcot!!!! We walked right on to Spaceship Earth at 4:30. This was DS's first ride, It was very dark and I thought he would be scared , but he loved it. It is one of my favorite rides! We then walked onto the Living Seas and spent quite a while there looking at the tanks.
We did have some problems finding our stroller the first two days, but finally got the hang of
it! Well, we walked over to the Land and the Garden Grill. Their seats in the waiting area were full and I walked up, checked in with our PS, and we were immediately seated. This is THE moment that my DH became a grateful believer in all the planning that I had done.
The Garden Grill was out of this world!!!! The food, service, and character interation were all first rate! Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, and Dale all came around several times for pictures and autographs. This is a definite must do! After dinner we played for a while in Ice Station Cool. I tried the Beverly!!! It tasted like yucky medicine! We got back to the room about 8:00 and we were passed out at 8:30. Tomorrow -Animal Kingdom and MGM!!!!!!

When were you there? I must have missed the date somewhere? Thanks for sharing.

I love Epcot. Sounds like you have a really nice day there. I think Garden Grill was one of my 6 year old nephew's favorite character meals. The character interaction was excellent and he loved the food too :)

Thanks for posting this because I had fun reading it.
