Day 4, Sat Aug 16, Part 2
So when I last left you, it was nap time for me! And nap I did. Surely needed it after that late night/early morning combo! So I slept from 1:30-3:45, while mom and the boys hung out at the pool. My mom came back, showered, and we got ready to head to the bus stop, where we arrived at 4:40. And our bus luck continued, as an Epcot bus pulled up shortly after, and we were walking in by 5pm. We decided we may as well FastPass Mission: Space, since Chris wanted to do it. And if we wanted to go on Test Track, we'd do singles, and of course FP were gone for Soarin for the day. But not to worry! We have a rope drop coming up one day!
We had an ADR at San Angel Inn at 6:30, but my mom was a little hungry, and she saw what she wanted...
Okay, cool, there's two left, shouldn't be a problem. Except that the people in front of us bought them both. And they had no more anywhere. So we were on a mission. A pretzel mission. But for some reason, we couldn't find one anywhere! So I suggested we head to the Land to go to Seasons to see if we could find her something there. She was about to get on line to buy a bag of crunchy pretzels (not the same thing, but she would make do), when I remembered that you get a free cookie for your birthday! So of course, she went for the cookie.
Satisfied with her treat, we went on our way to Mousegears to do some shopping. We left in time to catch the British Invasion at 6pm, but since we had seen the 6pm show yesterday, it was the same lineup. We didn't feel like listening to the same songs, so we left. We took the long way to Mexico, by way of Morocco. See, I was on a mission to find the Genie for my friend James. Not sure if I mentioned that mission before, but I've been on it since May! And still no luck. Boo Disney! You need Genie stuff! /end rant.
So we made our way over to Mexico, and checked in a bit before 6:30, and the boys showed up shortly after. We had to wait like 20 minutes to be seated, which was our longest wait all week. I figured it had something to do with eating closer to a normal time, as we usually ate later. Anywho, it wasn't a bad wait, since you have the whole Mexican pavilion to entertain you while you wait.
Dinner was good. I was pleasantly surprised, as this place doesn't usually get such hot reviews here on the DIS. Glad we gave it a try. Pretty atmosphere.
And here's a family shot.
Sweet. So full from our dinner, we wanted to head over to the Seas, since I figured it would be a good time to fit in Turtle Talk with Crush. Oh, but I stopped to get myself a Green Apple Margarita first, since they only have them outside. Yum!
As we were walking back to Future World, I wanted to get a nice shot of the big golf ball. Chris had other ideas.
Haha, yeah, he made his way into the bottom corner. Thanks buddy! Now, please move, so I can get a good one!
Much better

. Although, I do quite enjoy the one Chris snuck into. It's just a perfect example of my brother. Priceless.
So we went over to the Seas, and I just love the "mine mine mine" birds. Oh like you couldn't imagine. I have the shirt. I took video of them going "mine mine mine" but I haven't uploaded it. It's hysterical. Cracks me up. Then we went on the Nemo ride, since there was no line. Me and my brothers squeezed ourselves into one clam shell. We left my mom on her own, because she was refusing to get off her cell phone. Anyway, we were a bit of a tight fit in there, but we survived. This ride isn't anything wonderful, but hey, no line, and the boys hadn't been on it.
Next up...what I had been waiting for...Turtle Talk! Now, I had talked this up quite a bit. Because normally, it's absolutely hysterical! Note to self...don't go to Turtle Talk at 8:20pm. Most of the kiddies are gone or their parents are waiting with them for Illuminations. There were only a few kids, and there wasn't much interaction. I guess they were tired or something. But usually, Crush is much funnier. So that was a bit of a dud, and we never did make it back for another show. Oh well. You know I'll be back. And I guess the boys will just have to make another trip! Nothing wrong with that!
We decided that we weren't going to stay for Illuminations. Mom and I wanted to get to DTD to hit up the Adventurers Club, as we have never been. I know. Really. Our first trip would be our last. Very sad. And the boys wanted to come just to hit up the shops.
But anyway, I had a bit of a brain fart on how to get to DTD. Smart way would have been to walk out the back, head to the Boardwalk, and get a bus from there. For some reason, I swore that the TTC was still the hub it used to be, and that you could catch a bus from there to anywhere. So we took the monorail over there. Well, obviously, I was wrong. So we got to the TTC, walked over to the buses, and turned right back around. And walked over to the Polynesian to get a bus from there. At least it worked out in the end, but the fam (mostly the boys) were not pleased that their all-knowing sister messed up. I wasn't too thrilled with myself either, I mean, come on, I should know these things!
Well anyway, so we made our way to DTD, and left the boys to their shopping, while we walked over to Pleasure Island. Bought our tix, and we on our way. We went straight to the bar, where I ordered a Kungaloosh, of course, as I knew it was the signature. And my mom got a Samantha's Passion Punch. Oh these were good
We had a really great time! Saw a couple of shows in the side rooms, and became honorary members. Kungaloosh! I'm so sad I will never get to go back to this place, as it really was a lot of fun, and I didn't make my way there until this trip! Enjoy some pictures
You know how I love self portraits
We left around midnight, as we didn't want to stay out too late. Two late nights in a row for me, good thing I have that Disney adrenaline! We got to the bus stop at 12:10am, just as a bus pulled up. Perfect timing. Sweet. And we were sleeping not too long after.
Next up: day with grandpa in St Cloud, and night @MGM
