Marching Band

Is anyone in marching band? I am and I play the french horn. Lets hear it for band geeks!!!!!!!!!!:thewave:

yup, i'm in marching band, and i play the flute. I definitely like marching season better than concert season. Rehearsals are just more active and fun. I think concert rehearsals are kinda boring, unless we're playing a really cool song.

Last year we got to play a really cool song, but this year we are going Pirates of the Caribien and we get to do a sword dance.

We did a song called Childrens March for concert band last year, and that was the cool song. It was fast with a lot of energy. POTC is fun to play, and we have done great this season.

that's awesome. i wish we could do potc, or for that matter any disney theme! we're doing a jazz/funk, tower of power kinda thing. I don't like it very much; no one else really does either.

i really liked our show my freshmen year, when we did west side story. i love that musical, so it was really cool. last year we had an american/patriotic sorta theme, which was okay. i guess our themes are getting worse, lol. j/k, hopefully we'll have a good one next year when i'm a senior.

Last night at a competion I was at there was this one band that did motown and they were awsome. They had singers, gitars, and they were just great!

I must have been writing too fast and not realize that I spelt guitar wrong. At the middle of there show we were all like ok you've already been good enough for 1, you can fall now. We are in a small band division, because this is my schools 2nd year.

I can't due marching band till i am in high school. For now I play flute in middle school. The good thing is that I'm first chair. Now one of my friends hate me because she was always first chair and now I got it.

My school is a 7-12 grade school and I can be in marching band as an 8th grader, but not all the middle schoolers are in high school band. I can also try out for high school hour band, and that is what I am going to do. Elyse can you stop bugging me!!!!!!!

I play the clarinet in Marching. Don't really know what i like better. Our homecoming halftime show was potc. We made a formation of a boat and the tubas were the port holes. we put stuff in them so that they would shoot of fire. FLAMING TUBAS!!!

Hi Kylie, its Ciara. I play the flute in marching band. I am in 8th grade but the HS needed players so they called on the eight graders. I like marching band but there is this girl that I can't stand but she is graduating this year so next it should be a breeze.

I like marching band the most even though I'm not in the band. But I love it the most, cause I get to go and watch all the competitions.
