Marching Band

I used to be in band, and I played the french horn. I'm in the drill team, but for some odd reason, we're just about the only drill teams that marches with the band, so we were in the contest show this year. We also did POTC. It was sooo much fun because we got to have sword fight and have red bandanas and everything! Contest was last week, and we got a 1!

wow! sounds awesome! my band never makes any distinct shapes, just boring geometric/blob kinda things. although when we did west side story my freshman year, we did make a jet and a shark, but i don't think anyone could really tell, especially since he did the drill himself. this is the first year he hired someone, and we STILL make shapeless figures!

We are going POTC this year and we have a sword fight. Our percussion wears red bandanas, but they now have to wear hats. They judges do not like the bandanas.

Technically, i'm not 'in band' but... I'm a guardie! So i do marching season!

Our show this year is "Brass Revolution" (includes 'Free' by Chicago, 'Spinning Wheel' by Blood Sweat and Tears, and 'Getaway/September' by Earth Wind and Fire)

We're pretty good... but we don't compete at all. We go to festivals and rated festivals. Our score was i think an 81.2 at the rated festival this past weekend.

We only have 2 performances left! (if we don't get to playoffs... which we mostly like will get to playoffs cuz we're 5-3... bottom seed tho) not fair!

Me and Lauren [Disnee15] are die hard band kids. I play the trombone and marching season is what I live for. I'm so tired of the pirates thing. It's so over done. Our show was called "Circutry" by Key Poulan. State finals was last Saturday. We rocked the house.

I play the trombone and cymbals along with other various instruments. I'm the only girl in low brass.

I hate concert season so much. Now that marching season is over I'm doing winter drumline, pep band, jazz band, and the orchestra pit for our school musical. Band is my life.

our last game is friday. I hate concert season. Rehearsal is so boring, and I hate seating auditions (i don't do badly, I just get really nervous).

98% of my friends are in MB, but im into Field Hockey, so i can't be in it. I'm an "unofficial band supportee" haha.

Anyone in the boston area, i prolly saw you perform at one of those BIG competitions that ya'll have. I come to support my friends and to freeze solid.

Our show this year was Then and Now featuring As Time Goes By (97 Blue Devils) and last year our show was called "Triumphant Echoes" which featured Peterloo Overture (92 Cavies) and Festive Overture (01 Phantom Regiment)...Does anyone know what im talking about with the Drum Corps??

I love marching band so much more than concert band...but, I get to go indoor drumline this year so I'm excited about that one.

We only have 2 more competions and then we start concert band. I am so happy that we don't have chair autions, because I get nervous. I have to try out for high school honor band in December. That is going to make me very very nervous

The only people who hang out at our games are middle school kids. THe high schol preps are the only kids who go and actually watch

I'm so sad! Last night marching band season ended! Our show wasl really fun. We did Billy Joel : Beyond the Piano Man! I really enjoyed it. But now I won't have like anything to do for a month until indoor guard starts! GO GUARD!

We have been sight reading this week to see what we will play in concert band. We are going to Hawaii or Canada in 2006 so we have to audition in January. Is any one going on a trip for band soon?
