Sorry, I meant to post a message and ended up with a poll.

Does anyone have any suggestions for where to stay on a budget with 4 kids? On site is so expensive, and we will have our own car. If possible, I would like a place with shuttle. There are so many options out there I am only confusing myself. All ideas and suggestions are much appreciated.

You might try a 2 room suite at The Holiday Inn maingate East. It accomodates up to 8 people. Here's a link from The DIS. Have fun & Good Luck!

Got a couple ideas for you. Travelsheryl posted just the other day that Homewood Suites was having a special for $64.95 includes free full breakfast. You can do a search on the budget board for her post -or just go back a few days.

Also I have had good luck with www.discounthotelsamerica.com. FYI-there is an $11 cancellation fee if you change your mind.

Then,of course, there is always good old priceline. We got a 4*property-Wyndham Palace in Downtown Disney last year thru PL for only $40 a night -during Easter break. Due to the size of your family you would need to bid for 2 rooms. But, you really have to do your homework before you bid and once you buy--it's yours NO CANCELLATIONS.

As for us-we were able to get DXL for only $109/nt for our upcoming trip 3/4 -3/7.
We are so excited :D :D :D
It will be our first time on site!

Good Luck and have a SUPER trip!

Thanks Lori. I reallty appreciate the tips. I'll be looking into it today:)

You guys have a superb trip!

There is a new group of Marriott Hotels at Little Lake Bryan. SpringHill Suites have separate bedrooms and living rooms with fold out sofas and kitchenettes. AAA rates are available for the summer date I need (I got it for $65/nt), so they might be for your dates. Breakfast is included. Fairfield Inn is right there too (Marriott budget resorts), but Fairfield is not the suite setup. Little Lake Bryan is less than a mile from Downtown Disney and they offer a shuttle servic too.

We stay about 10 minutes from the west gate of Disney in residential developments ( e.g. Lindfields ) up the 192 from the I-4. Check some of the net rental sites such as Cyberrentals.com. We've rented for 5-6 years, always nice homes with pools, for about $90-100 a night, often $600-700 a week ( 3bdrm- 4 bdrm ) homes.
