March Use Year

Is it me or do them seem scarce on all resale sites?

I think the same thing with our use year (April). When we look to add resale I really want to keep the same use year for ease on me!

Just looked at a resale search engine and current listings broke down as follows:

Feb: 93 listings
March: 52 listings
April: 68 listings
June: 131 listings
August: 84 listings
Sept: 80 listings
Oct: 64 listings
Dec: 161 listings

That is across ALL dvc resorts, not just WDW ones. Of course its only a snapshot in time

You have to keep in mind that the points per use year are not distributed evenly.

We were looking for March UY too since we usually travel in spring. They were hard to find! We gave up and went for February.

When looking for April all I find is March!

Funny, we went with a March use year even though it didn't match our current UY of Oct because we got tired of waiting for a small-ish loaded contract.

Why does it matter when you "get" your points? "Getting" your points in the beginning of the year is not good if you travel in November or December.

I think a lot depends on which resort. I’ve been causally looking for a BLT March UY for a while and haven’t seen a single one! I’ve seen March for every other resort though....

We have March as well. We did buy a few of our contracts resale, and I too thought they were hard to find.

As we now are retired, I do book January and even February because we enjoyed the Festival of the Arts. So, we do live dangerously regarding losing points because we have booked very late in our UY.
