The updated discount announced today was exactly what my family and I were looking for as we are getting ready for a spring break (Late March) trip.
The odd thing was that the prices for our window 25-30 March were actually better as we added extras.
For example, when we did our initial price check through the Annual passholder site, our rate was $1,375 before taxes, for a standard room. The new early spring discount was $1,500 for the same dates, but was for a upper level theme park view, the actual standard view was more expensive at $1,525. The odd thing was when we checked Concierge, (something we have been dying to try) the add on was actually only $205, or $1,705 before taxes. This represented only a modest $310 increase over our lowest price we could find and we went ahead and called to book it, and ended up with the exact same rates, but some extra AP perks, such as the collectible lanyards and some preferred seating.
Sorry to drone on, but does this happen alot? seemed odd so we actually called and the lovely CM said it happens quite a bit normally during the initial days of a promotion. We really wanted to do the GCH, but we are nearly $400 cheaper and with Concierge Theme Park View, seemed a no brainer.
Thanks,
