HI Everyone,
I'm thinking of planning a trip for the second week of March, 2004. I can't stand not having a trip to look forward to!! Can anyone tell me what the crowds are like? I've never been in March and it doesn't seem to be one of the more popular months. Thanks for any help you can give!

I'm not sure about how crowded that week in March will be.Some Spring Break crowds might be starting. In Indiana where I grew up Spring Break use to always be the week before or after Easter.I didn't realize back then that some states have it every year at a specific time of the year.

One year when Easter fell mid April I planned our trip for the last week of March thinking the place would be empty that far ahead of Easter....WRONG!!! I think the ENTIRE state of New York was there!!! It was pretty crowded!

Thanks Baloo -
The reason for going in March is because it is my daughters spring break! She attends a local community college and it's easier for me to get off work during her spring break than it is for her to miss school during my spring break (I work at a local elementary school) which is April 5-April 9. I was hoping most of them will be in April and March wouldn't be too bad! It's too bad we don't have the same spring break! :)

I'm going the first week of March and I've been wondering about this as well. It's our first time in March--we usually go for Halloween, but were unable to this year. My DD has 3 half days this week so I figure she won't miss so much. I work at a community college, too, and our spring break is also that second week in March. Hopefully, the first week will miss some of the rush!

I have never been in March but I do know there is a cheer competition the week-end of March 13. My daughter's team will be there the 11-16. I am sure this affects attendance.

This year we were there from 2/27-3/9 and the crowds were incredibly reasonable. We never waited in any big line, although a few times we utilized FastPass for the more popular attractions. The last Friday, 3/8, our group split up, and my DH and DS5 went to the MK, and DH said the crowds were pretty large there, but that is in comparison to practically no crowds the rest of the week- I remember him saying Peter Pan had a 60 minute line in the early afternoon, but that is fairly common anyway. I recommend going in early March, before any Spring Breaks start. I know in Oregon, the Spring Break is almost always the last full week in March (like the 23-28 of March or something like that).

Woo hoo! That's encouraging, Alice28! Thanks for the info.
