I just wanted to let everybody know that WDW will most likely be uncrowded in March, since Disney is cutting on hours and parades first 2 weeks of March :-( and they are offering all kinds of last minute deals etc. On Mousesavers you can find the codes, I just visited their site, that's how I found out, so enjoy everyone !!
We're going first 2 weeks of April, let's hope it'll be the same then (wishfull thinking :-):Pinkbounc

I am so excited that the crowds are expected to be lower. We will be there from 3/9-3/15. I was really worried that it was going to be too packed to really enjoy the parks. The cut hours aren't really going to effect us since we have little ones and don't really stay at the parks too late.

Two weeks to go! I can't wait.

We just returned from Disney 2/21/03. There we no crowds at all. We always got seats on the buses and the monorail. We went to MK on Saturday Night of Presidents Weekend. Crowds were a little heavier but nothing that wasn't manageable. We got to sit in the rocking chairs on the porch at Liberty Square and watch SpectroMagic.

On Sunday night we went to the 2nd showing of Fantasmic the seating area was only half full.

Most rides were no wait, some of the more popular rides may have been 15 to 20 minutes. With fastpast you could do just about everything.

On Thursday night we went to Epcot. Again prime seating anywhere in World Showcase to view IllumiNations.

We went during one of Disney's peak weeks. Nothing peak about it.

What is really weird is... we are planning on going on a last minute spring trip to Disney. We will be staying on site this time. Because I won't be able to have any firm dates until the last minute I've been checking prices. I keep checking through the Disney website, expedia, and AAA. I have 3 different weeks we are thinking of. The weeks of 3/23, 3/30 or 4/6. The disney site keeps telling me CBR and CSR are booked for all those weeks. AAA and expedia say I can get a room. If the resorts are sold out, I wouldn't think it was going to be that quiet.

Whether March will be "uncrowded" is an unknown. That it will have fewer guests than anticipated by Disney appears true as it shrinks the hours. The problem which can be created is that the reduced number of guests does not necessarily translate into reduced crowds -- shrink the hours as severly as they are doing and what you get is that the "smaller" anticipated crowd becomes huge per park hour. When we were there last June this was an overwhelming problem as hours were reduced from prior years causing a park like MK to become almost impossible to do as it was elbow to elbow. It was the worst I ever seen it in June but Disney was still saying the total number of guests were down for that period.
