I am an obsessed WDW fan and I am going for my very first trip to DL. My boyfriend and I are venturing to CA to stay with my aunt and uncle and plan to be in DL and DCA for 2 days. We haven't decided yet what dates we will be there (we will be arriving in CA (SFO to be exact) on the 15th and leaving on the 25th). I could use all the tips I can get from the DL experts on crowds, weather and the best days to go. Any other tips or advise about anything else Disneyland I would really appreciate! :earseek:

First off, you need to know that you will either need to take another flight to southern CA (Los Angeles LAX, Orange County SNA, or Long Beach LGB) to be close to Disneyland. Otherwise you're looking at a 7-8 hour drive. You can usually find a flight leaving San Franciso or Oakland for $100 or less.

As for crowds, a lot of spring breaks are happening the week of Mar 21, so a visit in the early part of your trip will result in less crowds.

The weather is very unpredictable. You could have very warm days 70's or 80's or you could have cold days 40's - 50's. I notice your from CT though, so cold is a relative term. What's cold to us wouldn't necessarily be cold to you.

Thanks for the tips got2travel. My family lives in Santa Cruz and since we have never been to CA before, we plan on driving down and making many stops over a few days. It sounds like we should plan on heading straight down to DL to try to cut off the spring breakers, then we can take our time and make our stops on the way back up.
Thanks again for the tips!
