We are thinking of planning a trip next March 16-20. For those of you who have been during this time, are there oodles of sick kids, illnesses going around that you've observed? My DD is a germ-magnet. If there is a germ within a certain radius, she WILL get it.:confused3
I know we can't avoid it completely, but if is a major germ-fest (more than normal) during that time, we may reconsider our dates.

Opinions, please. :thumbsup2

Bear in mind that any time of year, you are likely to be exposed to all kinds of "foreign" germs being carried by people from all over the country and all around the world. Stay hydrated and well-nourished. I give my DDs a supplement called Sea Buddies when we travel (http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?c=1&pid=2219), and frequent (but not too zealous) hand washing. We've had a few bugs while travelling, last year, 9yo had influenza in Williamsburg and was basically unconscious for 2 days and the poor thing also had food poisoning from Akershus at Epcot a few months after that. The other thing is to travel with the understanding that things happen and don't let it "ruin" your trip.
