March and SPRING are FINALLY HERE!!!! (hopefully someone told the weatherman!)

Time to get moving so we all fit into those summer clothes and dreaded swimsuits!

Please join in at any time by committing to as many or as few exercise minutes as you wish! Please record your total time when you post: ie. "I'm now at 222/333, etc.

Longer month and I didn't come close last month, so I'm going for 1800 this month. With any luck I'll make it despite starting a part time job (SITTING grading standardized tests for 9 weeks) or a contract job (much more active) which I'm HOPING for the interview next week....they wanted today & I couldn't.

Thanks again for running this challenge. I was a no-show for February, but I really need to get to exercising.

I'm going for 700 this month to ease in.
 
I want to go for 500 this month. I really hope to surpass this but I don't want to go so far that I fall way short and get discouraged! I didn't get to post all my minutes for Feb as I have 2 kids sick out of school this whole week and my routine is off!
 

Ok, I was MIA last month also. I am ready for March though! Put me down for 500 as well. Hopefully I too will surpass this goal, but starting off slow sounds like a good idea.
 
I used to do these challenges regularily but have not visited in 10 months or more. Well, back on the bandwagon. I have been at it since January and am shooting for 600 to start. The weather will change here this month and we may actually be able to get outside to exercise. Yah!!! I'm in!!!!

This is my first challenge. Let's see how it goes. Here's my history...

I was always a pretty thin person... until I got married and had kids! Then I gained weight and didn't take much care of myself. Always stayed around 200lbs. The family always came first and me last. When my kids went to college, I started going to the YMCA and began exercise classes. About 2 years ago I lost 40 lbs. I still had more to lose, but for some reason, I hit a plateau and just stayed there. I wasn't unhappy with the loss, but I knew that at some point, I'd need to focus on lose more. During the last 6 months or so, I've started putting on weight as I traveled A LOT to watch my daughter in her final season of playing college basketball. Lots of hours in the car, sitting on bleachers, and driving thru mc donalds and burger king while traveling really cost me. I gained 20 lbs back! Shoot! Well, Friday night was my daughter's last basketball game... EVER! I've watched her play on the court since she was 5, and now at 22, she's ended a beautiful career. And once again... it's time for me to focus on ME! So it's time to hit the gym again! About a year ago we changed for the YMCA to Golds, so I'll start going there again tomorrow. When I was working out, I was consistently going 8 hours a week and loving every second of it. At this point, since I know that I have to get back on the wagon, my goal is 10 hours a week! That's 600 minutes a week! 2400 minutes during the 4 weeks in March! Holy Cow!! Sounds like a lot, doesn't it? But I know that I can do it. It's not an unrealistic goal for me. I just needed to get it in writing!

So here's the plan! Focus on ME, ME, ME and ME! Eat healthy and WORKOUT! Today I turned 45! Wow! Tuesday is my 25 year anniversary! Wow again! That's something! This is the perfect time to start focusing on me again! My kids are basically grown up. My son is married and in grad school and my daughter is graduating in May and getting ready to move on to grad school. They don't need me anymore! My wonderful husband and I will be celebrating our anniversary in August. Right before school begins again in NY. It's always a hot time to visit FL, but the week or two before Labor Day isn't too busy. We love going then. We leave 25 weeks from today!

My goals...

I want to lose 36lbs before leaving
I want to average 10 hours a week of exercise for the next 25 weeks
I want to be in the best shape of my life when we celebrate our 25 years together!
I want to lose 46 lbs by my 46th birthday!

For march... 2400 minutes! Here we go!!

I am in for this month... I will try for 1000 mins... I haven't made it yet this year but very close.
 
I signed up in February but had a bunch of things happen. I am going to put in for 1000 minutes this month.
