We're at 12 Days!!

We are surprising our 3 & 7 yr old.....originally started as a couples only anniversary package & now our 22 & 19 yr old are getting their own package which will include the 2 younger ones. Gonna put them in the car....and when they start whining....we'll surprise them with the news that we're taking them to DISNEYLAND

This is exactly what we are doing with DD. Just going to put her in the car and start driving and then when she starts asking question, which will hopefully be awhile since we are going to leave at 5am, I am going to give her an early birthday present to open that will reveal the surprise.

I am hoping to make a coloring book for her to open. Can't wait.

Totally. However, my DD is not yet 4 so I am able to talk about Disneyland a little here or there and talk about a future trip so that helps me get it off my chest. When we went last year she had just turned 3 and I told her a month in advance and boy was that a LONG month. I just can't wait to see her face.

Got my packing list ready and I think tonight I am going to start getting my clothes ready.

I had the best idea last night though. I think that I am going to "play" a game with DD the night before and pretend we are going on a trip and ask her to pack everything that she would want to take on a trip. I will let her pick the destination (it will be Disney of course). Then that way she will have picked out her favorite books, toys and clothes (were in an all skirt phase right now) and then I won't have to worry about when to pack her clothes.

This caight my curiosity are you using a crockpot up there and if s how is this going to work? I am all about saving money and if this is a money saving tip I am all for it I have wondered about taking up a small microwave to our room since we don't have one or seeing if DLH has them and we could get one in our room.

Yeah I'm taking our small one- thought it would be nice to have some bbq chicken sandwiches. I don't know much about the liners-- only that they are out there Sure would be less clean up.

And we'll be in the park in 20 days! I LOVE THIS PART--when it's SOOOO close you can almost taste the carmel apples!!

I'm washing clothes & setting stuff aside.....they don't seem to be noticing yet!!! Less to wash right before the trip this way....lol
