March break weather - oh no!

Cey, If you could come back and report that about the weather everyday, I would be so happy!! As long as it is good news! We arrive on the 7th at 11 am, we are looking forward to getting rid of this pasty white skin from our Northern Ontario winter!

Oh....and if you wouldn't mind staying a couple more weeks so you can give me an accurate report right before we go!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

The weather today was forecasted to be 76F and partly cloudy, but it sure felt like it was warmer. There is a whiff of smoke in the air due to the Iron Horse brush fires, and the smoke is forecasted to increase over the next few days due to the NE winds. Thursday is forecasted as 76F, Friday 77F and Saturday 79F with a few clouds. No rain is in the forecast until Sunday and that is only 30%. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are forecasted to be sunny with temps in the high 70's, so March break is still looking good. Pollen counts are up though, so pack your meds if you have allergies.

I will try to post daily for you March Breakers, as we are here for 6 weeks. Retirement rocks! :flower3:

Thank you Cey. Forecast does look better. Actually pretty darn good - 6 weeks in Florida sounds so nice.

Bertie, the formula is double the celcius and add 30. So 20c is 70f. That's what I go by.

The weather network.com still shows a cool down but every other site doesn't. Fingers crossed.

My colleague leaves for Cancun on Sat and they show rain for a whole week. Bummer.

Just talked to FIL in Sarasota; says they have been enjoying perfect Florida weather for days on end now (oh, the monotony of it!!! ;) ) Extended forecast is for more of the same. Of course most of us bad luck Ontarians are heading down on the 12th, so things can still change... no wait, THINK GOOD THOUGHTS, THINK GOOD THOUGHTS! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I have been in Cancun since Monday, and it was the same forecast. We leave tomorrow, but have not seen a SNIFF of rain . Sunnnny EVERY day, with a little bit of cloud, and believe me, you pray for those clouds. The highs this week have been 32 here. So, I hope your colleague has good weather as well.

I'm convinced when they do the "long range" they always put rain, then tweak it as they get closer. Just checked the forecast for March Break week..rain!!

Oh well..I'll take 80 and showers over -20 and SNOW any day! :lmao:

Cey - we are headed to WH too!! We will be there the week of the March Break!! My parents, my kids, and me! Woohoo ... my dad would love to go down there for six weeks and get away from this snow! He'd be so jealous - I told him he just needs to retire :D (but they look after my girls for me so it is a catch22 for me!! lol)

Keep it warm - last year was hit and miss!!!! (but after being at a house in July in the middle of the heatwave and having the a/c go ... I will take anything!!! - that was WICKED!!!)

Sorry for the delay in posting. Too much visiting with friends

Looks like rain is going to stick around for the weekend. We had some rain last night and it is cool this am 61F. The forecast says 80F & partly cloudy with increasing cloud cover which I take to mean that there will be very little sun. Tomorrow they are definitely forecasting rain which sounds like it is part of the system extending all the way up the NE coast to Canada. Long Term forecast is predicting occasional showers for Thursday 30% and chance of rain for Friday 20 %, but at this point I think it is too far out to predict. The weather forecast has already improved since I got up this am. So far the rain events they have predicted have not been all day events. Temps look great for this week so hopefully they will extend into March Break. :flower3:

anything beyond 3 days is a crap shoot......those 14 day predictions are worked on averages from years before.

I don't mind the forecast right now, and would be happy if it stayed that way! We had some incredibly terrible weather for driving today. We have made it to Toronto, which is 6 hour drive, but took us 8 today. Tomorrow morning we will get to Buffalo, in the crapppppppy weather forecast, and fly out to Orlando at 8:30 am! Here's to good weather, and awesome March Breaks!

We leave March 7 from Toronto. After the freezing weather we had in December at Disney, I'll take whatever March weather comes our way. It has to be better this time around!

I have come to the conclusion that florida weather forecasters can get it wrong just as much as canadian weather forecasters can. After forecasting thunderstorms and rain for yesterday, after some initial clouds in the morning and some very lite sprinkles (didn't even open my umbrella on my walk), the sun came out and it was mostly sunny and highs of 86F by my poolside themometer. Go figure :confused3 Today's forecast is sunny but slightly cooler 78F, but I will take it! Friday, Saturday and Sunday are sunny and high 70's for you March Breakers! Drive safe. :goodvibes Looks like the snowy weather and poor driving conditions improve today as the NE clears.:flower3:

LOL....for sure the FL weather men are just like ours here at home. I hardly even look at the weather here anymore...it is what it is.

Last Thursday I emailed my friend that I'm vacationing with and mentioned that the forecast for our first full day in FL was going to be sunny and 84. She asked me which site I was looking at. The following day she emails me again and says that she is totally unimpressed with the weather for the first 3 days of our trip....I answer back with a :confused3...it's looking good. She tells me that it's heavy rain. So I check and sure enough....a total flip flop from the forecast of the day before. So then on Sat & Sun I look at it and once again each time I look it's 100% different than the previous day. So now it's a big joke...I'll keep watching daily but really in the end we are going to be there no matter what the weather. I'm gonig with the optomistic thoughts that so far this winter has been pretty good weather wise down there and that it will carry through March Break.

Here is how I deal with this issue-I always pack stretchy gloves and heavy sweaters when we go in December and dollar store rain ponchos year round. That way I am always prepared and usually never need either! You guys going down on the March break will have fun no matter what the weather-enjoy!

LOL The weather forecast, if you can believe the 15 day!, now goes to the day before we arrive. It goes from 80's and 70's to 65 the 2 days before we arrive!!! I think that is an uneducated guess when you don't know what else to say!!:happytv:

Looking good you March Breakers! Monday Tuesday and Wednesday forecast is sunny and high 70's. We have had two cool mornings, 54F but it is truely amazing when the fog and cloud cover clears, how sunny and warm it can become by the pm. What a difference from last year! :cloud9:

Travel Safe :flower3:

Forecast looks awesome now! I need to change the title of my post!

Boarding a plane in 36 hours!!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

We have been here since Monday the 7th, it was great on Tues, Weds! Thurs it rained and cool, then yesterday was very cool, cold at night. Next week look like high 70's low 80's! We were here last year at the same time, better weather by far, but the crowds are much more intense!
