Hello fellow Disney Fans...This is my first post on the DIS boards...I thought I should maybe add to the thread for the March 5, 2011 cruise aboard the Magic! We are super excited to be doing our second DCL cruise, and have already begun the countdown!:smickey:

Hey Everyone!!

I just wanted to give a heads up about the Kids Sail Free Promo!!!!

I was just playing around on my phone and it still let me book the deal. I know they are not promoting it anymore but please try it.

Just did it now !!! Hit the link that says "search for a cruise "upper right hand side. Put in the code KFO and look at what you get!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

No news on the ERB testing yet!

Ahhh.... COme on Michelle. They have to know. Have you tried calling the school or the district and ask. I learned when my DS had them, that the district knows a year ahead; I could have called and asked... You are making me NERVOUS.... Hey DS is awaiting Your Movie Opening....

Just wishing everyone well! I have a vacation day today and don't know what to tackle first, so I decided to take a look at the DIS boards. :rolleyes1 However, I did get my walk in on this beautiful Midwest fall day. I guess that's good news since there is no school today and the boys can play outside.

Have a great day everyone!

I think our family has grown so fast and so quick that I missed your :welcome: to our Bushwacker Family. We are happy to have you and the family coming back with us. Please feel free to share as much or as little as you want. The more you share the better the friendships. I see that your boys are close to my kid's ages.

We like Cozumel. If you did not get off the ship last time, I think your should for sure this time..... :flower3:

Lady Story~
I know you are away right now, but if you can update a spread sheet soon, I would greatly appreciate it. I am needing to keep up with whom is who. I am having a little tracking issues. (SHHHH...... no comment some of you):lmao::lmao:

Thank you for the warm welcome! :goodvibes

Does anyone have any recommendations for Cozumel? We were looking at the 3 reef snorkel. Last time we snorkeled at Grand Cayman, was thinking about going on the 7 mile beach trip there. We really like snorkeling. The boys really have gotten the hang of it.

Also, they love to make new friends. However, I am bit worried about DS11 making friends as this will be his first trip that he's not in the Lab.

I am thinking of the Chakannab park at cozumel ( not the dolphins) and the stingray city and turtle tour(Grand Cayman) not sure though yet. Me and the DH are still in negotiations. :worship:

I was wondering where everyone is staying the night before the cruise and how much (if you don't mind) you paid for the room. I am arriving the 4th at 9:30 pm and still need to find a room. Most likely at the port. We are getting a rental car just for that night and returning it.

Also---- we are staying one night at a disney hotel that saturday upon returning and leaving sunday.

What is the best one night stay without doing parks? I am thinking AKL since we have never been there and probably would never stay at for a whole week due to price and limited transportation at that price level. Seems like good food, animals and great pool. We mayyyyy go to DD. Any thoughts anyone else staying here?

Friday night, we are staying at Bay Lake Tower and then driving to Port Canaveral Sat morning and parking out car in the lot there. We will likely head home on the Saturday that we return.

As for AKL -- we've never stayed there (in part, due to how far away it seems from everything) BUT we ALWAYS go there at least once or twice during our stay -- love the food there. Boma is good (love breakfast and dinner) and Jiko is "da bomb"!

We also really enjoy seeing the animals and just hanging out in the hotel. At night, they sometimes have a Cast Member outside with night vision goggles -- which is awesome. I think AKL is a great choice for a one night stay.

Happy Planning!

We are staying at the Country Inn and Suites. We will be driving down, so their park and cruise rate ($119) worked out well for us! Hopefully we will be getting into PC early afternoon and will have time to relax a bit. We are really looking forward to 7 days of traveling, but not having to do much about it!

We will be at WDW Beach Club. Haven't decided what transportation to take yet. We have taken the Disney transportation (so we didn't have to worry about transferring our luggage) in the past and been fairly happy.

In 2008, we stayed here and got to the ship before 1pm and had time to check the boys in for the clubs, get our picture with Mickey and relax a few minutes. Last year we were at Port Orleans, we got to the terminal "late" there was hardly anyone in the terminal, the staterooms were already open, felt rushed through lunch and missed the DIS meet. My DH wants to do the Disney transfers so he doesn't have to worry about the luggage and his back. :rotfl: I told him I was going to sign him up for a spa massage but that didn't change his mind. :lmao:

Whew! Busy day here. The weather is beautiful. Dale and I built screens for many of our windows and now we have them all open. I have no idea why we waited so long, but I'm glad they are done! The girls have had a blast playing in the back yard.

We'll be watching our beloved team play football here soon. Watching a game now and it is NOT turning out like we thought it would. It might make things interesting later in the season.

We are going Monday to apply for our passports and will go to a Mexican restaurant I have heard good things about to celebrate. The next couple of months should almost fly by and then we'll be almost two months from sailing at New Years!

We will be staying at the Beach Club Villas and are taking Disney transportation to the port. We usually rent a car but we love Stormalong Bay so much that we don't mind waiting for Disney transportation. :) We actually arrive on Wednesday, March 2nd so we have time to enjoy SAB.

Shore excursions:

Key West - Sunset Champagne Sail through DCL or perhaps the Conch Train on our own?????

Grand Cayman - Seven Mile Beach on our own or ?????

Cozumel - ??????? I don't like Mexico so we might even stay on the ship.

I really need to do some more research on these ports....but we have been having such beautiful fall weather in Missouri that I just don't want to stay inside.

We will also be arriving on Wednesday too. :cool1: I was wondering about the weather for SAB? I guess all that is important is the water is warm. However, the walk to the slide may be cool. We also are planing on fitting in a day to see Harry Potter. I just hope it's not too busy.

Hi :goodvibes I just thought it was hilarous that we have the same character representing our DS(9). It made me smile because Dan is the child who always has a smile on his face.

I bet your family will really enjoy the longer cruise.

Hello from the deliquent/MIA/AWOL list keeper. :wave2:

BIG PROMISE to do it this weekend. I have 7 notifications... so far behind. :scared1::scared1: Maybe tonight during the YANKEE game..... but before work on Monday morning for sure. Check your email...

WELCOME To all the newbies. Forgive me for having an absolutely crazy life lately and unable to focus on you all... new cruise friends-in-the-making and old ones who know me well.

Heading home from work now... then dinner, pj's, wine, Yankees.
Life is good... :yay:
