I have a question. Looking over the DCL materials and other stuff, it appears that there is not really a formal night on the 3-day or 4-day cruises. They only talk about the formal night on the 7-day or longer cruises. What is your take on this? Is there one? Or is it just that people choose to mke one night a formal night? Or is it that people choose to dress up on the night they are scheduled to eat in the fanciest of the dinning rooms? Still trying to decide whether to bring the sport coat and tie.
From what I have read on other threads, there is what is called a "formal night" on the 4 day cruise. I think it is the Nassau night. I originally thought it was whatever night you ate at Triton's but I have read that is not correct, it is the same night for everyone (Monday - I think).
It is more dressy than the other nights, but not like on the 7 night cruise, where they wear tuxes and formal dresses. My DH is taking Dockers, a nice shirt and (yes) his formal shoes. If you are comfortable in a sport coat, I think that is what most men wear (from what I read), but not necessarily a tie. The women are wearing anything from fancy dresses to nice pantsuits. I am just going to wear a black skirt with a nice top. My DD will either wear a dress (she loves dresses) or her Cinderella costume.
I found this stuff on threads titled "Wonder 4 nights), no particular thread, just those in general.
