March 31-April 7, 2007 Eastern...3rd try :-)

Got a question here. Would any of you consider NOT dressing for dinner on semi-formal night or formal night? Would any of you show up in jeans? Not saying I would either, but I read about someone doing this on another board.

I wouldn't consider it, but I enjoy getting dressed up. Actually I am more comfortable in khakis than I am in jeans, so I have no problem dressing up.

Not here. I can't even imagine packing jeans for a Caribbean trip much less wearing them to a semi-formal or formal night. But then I have been accused of being a rule follower. :thumbsup2

We are thinking about dresing up as pirates on formal night. It sounds like fun to me. pirate: No ...I think it makes the dinner that much more memorable when we all dress up... it makes it like a special occasion.

Yikes, we are falling down the pages..gotta get us back up there!

Looks like we won't be on the cruise. We cancelled because of a conflict with our son's school. Even though this is spring break, he has something that he has to participate in on the first Saturday. Hope you all have fun!!

that stinks ^^^ are you guys rebooking for another date?

Anyone cruising with 5 or 8 y/o boys that might want to become pen pals before the trip?

Deb & Bill - Sorry you won't be sailing with us. Hope you can reschedule soon!

dpuck1998 - Sorry, no little ones in our group but I gotta believe there will be more Disers on this cruise. Maybe they are just lurking until it gets closer... C'mon in, we won't bite!

Anyone make airline ressies yet? Yikes, it is still so expensive from Minneapolis. Like $600 expensive! Hoping that will come way down..

DD15 has her semi and formal wear purchased and ready to go. Homecoming was last weekend and she found not one but two favorite dresses! Of course, I have nothing yet. Isn't that how it usually goes! :cool1:

We haven't booked airfare yet, right now for us out of Detroit prices are around 400 bucks. I'm watching daily hoping I can snag a good price soon. Talks of gas prices dropping soon will drop airline ticket prices...right?? :thumbsup2

Has anyone been on this iten. yet? We are starting to look at excursions and deciding what we might want to do on each island.

We haven't booked flights either yet....still way too high from CA.
It's been a while since I read the boards still there aren't many joining us, I wonder why?
Hope everyone is well! The Flue is starting to hit us over here but hopefully will go quick. yuck!~
Oh and GO TIGERS!!!! If my DODGERS can't be in and the Padres are out too, next best thing is the Tigers! LOL :rotfl2:

Was home today with the Flu, went thru my entire house. I was the last one...hopefully. We are rooting for the Tigers over here, but we are Cubs fans :-( Sad ain't it.

Hopefully we will get more people soon. I'm hoping to find an 8 yo that my son can email and meet on the trip. He would really dig that I think.

If anyone finds good prices for tickets let us know!

Well we are also rooting for the Tigers since our Twins fell flat on their butts in the playoffs. If Detroit can rise out of the ahses they found themselves in at the end of regular season, they deserve to win it all!

I'll keep my eye out for good fares and let you guys know if I see anything!

dpuck- - Not sure what you meant in your previous post -"inten.yet?"
Can you enlighten me?

Hope the flu stays far far away!! Sorry you've had to go through that.

I meant has anyone been on the eastern cruise yet. Iten was Itinerary...
I'm just curious if anyone has been on any excursions yet and get some opinions of them.

Nope, this is only our 2nd cruise and the 1st one was out of CA. Never been to Florida either...I know...I'm deprived! LOL

Anyone planning on any excursions? I think the boys might enjoy fishing, but I don't want to go all day with a 8 and 6 yo. I'm thinking the Bubba fishing trip might be a good one.

We don't have any definite plans yet. We were on the Eastern in 2004 and did the dolphin/beach excursion in St. Maarten and the Five Star Snorkle Beach Adventure in St. Thomas. My DD also did parasailing on CC and my DH and DS rented some type of water bikes. I need to get my kids looking at the list to see what they want to do. They mostly love beaches with big waves - and I;d love it if we could snorkle somewhere that is really awesome. Our 5 Star trip was not very good - I think I mentioned that earlier on the thread.

SO if anyone hears about a great snorkle trip or a great beach with waves, let me know!

I was wondering that myself. Do any of the beaches sport any decent waves? You always see the calm quiet beaches. Any waves to play in on any of the stops??

Bumping us up!!! Have you guys been following the celebrity game on the boards? I haven't been able to keep up! Anyone know what's going on? :confused3

I've been trying to follow a little, but just can't keep up with the huge amount of posts. I'm hoping someone will just tell me when its all done ;-) Anyone else get cruise "paperwork" recently? I got a nice phamplet of the excursions available the other day. It was fancy.

Hey fellow cruisers!
I got my airfare!! I saw a nonstop flight come up on AirTran out of MSP for $218RT. NWA has been around $600-$700RT for weeks and Sun Country was sold out for March 30. So I was thrilled!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I was also able to get ressies for everyone in our party (12 of us!) for that price or just a bit higher. I am so happy to have that piece behind me. We have never flown Air Tran but the DIS Transpotation Board has had good reports overall.

Anyone else have luck with airfare?
